SUMMARY: I’m the one you kiss in the morning. I’ll send you out to the world with my loving. I ain’t gonna trip ‘cause you always gonna keep it right here.
A/N: Sorry this update took so long. I just lost inspiration for a second. I have a lot coming up this month. A lot of birthdays, a few concerts, and my brother is coming home on Easter ^_^ So this chapter might suck, my bad. It's more of a filler chapter. Anyways, hope you enjoy it or not, it kind of stinks. haha.
CHAPTER SEVEN
I shift a little in my sleep, curling into the warmth beside me. A soft smile crosses my face as the warmth engulfs me even more. It wasn’t even cold in the room, but I still snuggled in closer. It was just so inviting and comforting. I inhale a deep breath and the scent of Irish Spring fills my nostrils. I’ve always loved the smell, it’s so clean and fresh. I don’t realize that a content sigh escape my lips and slowly drift back to sleep.
I’m not asleep for long before I’m woken by a banging on the door. Gosh, who the heck could be banging on the door at this time? Wait, what time is it exactly? I should probably open my eyes, but I’m not ready to. I want to sleep some more. Maybe whoever it is on the other side of the door will give up and leave if I stay quiet long enough. I’m about to fall asleep again when I feel shifting beside me and I completely freeze. Shifting beside me? The smell of Irish Spring? I don’t use Irish Spring soap.
“Ugh,” a groans comes from underneath me and my eyes shoot open. I blink a few times to adjust to the early morning light and observe the room around me. It takes me awhile to realize that I’m not in my room at home, but somewhere else. Where am I and who the hell am I sleeping on? I study the room closer this time, allowing my eyes to roam over every object before moving to the next.
“YOUNGIE! YOUNGIE! YOUNGIE!” I hear coming from somewhere not too far away and then the memory of last night comes back to me. I turn my head slightly, a patch of blue hair coming into view first before a soft and pale face joins it. I smile at how peaceful he looks while he’s sleeping and then I remember that his arms are around me. Our bodies were pressed up against each other and the warmth from his body soaking into mine. I still can’t bring myself to pull away from him. I kind of wanted to stay here for the rest of the day, but the insistent knocking probably wasn’t going to let that happen.
“Yoogeunnie, what did I say about yelling? It’s still early, let’s use our indoor voices hm?” I hear another voice say.
“Ne appa!”
Another knock comes on the door, but this time it’s more controlled. Youngwon shifts again and I can tell that he’s starting to wake up. I start to pull away from him, but his hold on me just gets tired. I watch as his eyes flutter open, looking around him before finally landing on me. I give him a shy smile and a small wave.
“Morning,” I softly say.
“Mm, morning,” he responds and lays his head back on the couch.
“You have company,” I say and point to the door.
“I can hear that,” he says, “Did you sleep okay?”
“Like a baby.”
“You?”
“Same. Who knew baby-sitting three kids could be so tiring?”
“I did,” there’s another round of calm knocks on the door and we both turn our attention to it. I didn’t bother to mention that we were still cuddled up on the couch together, neither one of us making a move to leave the spot we were in, “Are you going to get that?”
“I should get it huh?” he says, but still remains firmly rooted on the couch next to me, arms still wrapped tightly around me.
“YOUNGIE! YOOGEUNNIE IS HERE! OPEN UP!”
“Now I know I should get that,” he says, a bright smile on his face. His arms finally leave my body and he scoots to the side. I try to hide the frown that wants to form on my lips as he gets up and shuffles over to the door. I pull my legs up to my chest and rest my chin on my knees, watching Youngwon from behind. I was still a little confused with what I was feeling when I woke up in his arms. It felt right. There’s no other word I could use to describe it, it just felt right. I smile as I reminisce being in his arms. I want to be back in them already.
“SURPRISE!” I hear from a familiar voice. A voice that I got an earful of last night when we were baby-sitting. I turn towards the door and see Yoogeun running into the room, jumping up and down as he continues to repeat the word.
“Yoogeunnie, what did appa say about inside voices?” a tall man walks in as well and I’m guessing that he’s Minho, Yoogeun’s father. I’ve heard a lot about him from Youngwon and I think it’s admirable that he’s raising his late sister’s child as his own. He turns to me, smiles, and waves, “Good morning. Sorry about Yoogeun. He’s kind of excited.”
“I can see that,” I reply and smile at him, “It’s okay though. What’s he excited about anyways?”
“HAPPY BIRFDAY YOUNGIE FROM YOOGEUNNIE!” the little boy shouts, his jumping around with even more excitement now.”
“It’s your birthday?” I look at Youngwon and he gives me a sheepish smile before crouching down to look into the young boy’s eyes. Yoogeun jumps on him before he’s stable and he ends up falling back on his butt, a laugh escaping both of their mouths.
“Yeah, it’s my birthday,” he says to me, smile still plastered on his face. Yoogeun grabs it between his small hands and forces him to look at him.
“What do you say Youngie?” he puffs his cheeks out, an angry expression evident on his face.
“Oh I’m sorry Pooh. Thank you for wishing me happy birthday.”
“Welcome!” and the smile is back, “Was I the first one again?”
“Yes you were.”
“Yay!”
“Happy birthday Youngwon-ssi,” Minho says, picking his son off the blue-haired man, “I wanted to wait a little longer before coming over, but Yoogeun insisted. He wanted to be the first one to wish you a happy birthday again this year.”
“Oh it’s no problem hyung. I don’t mind it,” he responds, pinching Yoogeun’s making him pout again.
“Youngie, no pinchy!” he whines.
“I’m sorry Pooh. But you just look so cute when you wake up.”
“I not cute!”
“Youngwon-ssi,” Minho says as he looks at me again, “Are you going to introduce your friend or do I have to go over there and find out his name myself?”
“Oh I’m sorry,” Youngwon walks back towards me, stopping halfway, “This is Lee Taemin, he’s my math tutor. Taemin-ah this is my neighbor and Yoogeun’s appa, Minho.”
“Nice to meet you,” I get up and walk over to the tall man with my hand out stretched.
“You as well,” he grabs my hand and shakes it, “Well besides coming over here and waking you two up, we also-”
“I MADE BREAKIE FOR YOU YOUNGIE!” Yoogeun cuts off his appa.
“Yoogeun,” Minho gives the child in his arm a soft shake.
“Mianhe appa,” he gives his dad a kiss and again I smile. I’m reminded of just how close Youngwon is to him as well. They were adorable last night when we were baby-sitting especially when Yoogeun hit his head on the coffee table when he was trying to pic up one of his toys. Youngwon was right beside him the moment the tears started, the little kid clinging to him as the fat drops of water rolled down his face. It was an adorable sight to see and a side of Youngwon that I didn’t know existed.
“Anyways, we also wanted to come over to let you and your friend know that we made a birthday breakfast for you next door. So whenever you two are ready, just come on over. You know the code to get in. Come on Yoogeunnie, let’s go back to our home,” Minho picks up the small boy and starts to head back to the door, “No need to rush. We can always just reheat the food.”
“Thanks Minho-ssi and you too Yoogeun. We’ll be over in a little bit.”
“BYE BYE YOUNGIE! DON’T TAKE TOO LONG OR WE’LL EAT ALL THE FOOD!” Yoogeun yells just as the door closes. I turn to look at Youngwon and walk over to him.
“It’s your birthday today? Why didn’t you tell me?” I ask him.
“I guess it slipped my mind.”
“How could your birthday slip your mind?” I raise a questioning eyebrow at him.
“Did you wanna wash up before heading next door? That is if you want to join us for breakfast. I realize you spent the night here and you probably want to head home to get ready for your plans for today,” he says and I follow him to the bathroom.
“I don’t have any plans today. So I was thinking I could help you celebrate your birthday. Your family doesn’t live here huh?”
“Nope, it’s just me in Seoul. I’ll celebrate with my family when I go home next weekend,” he pulls out a new toothbrush from his medicine cabinet, putting tooth paste on it before giving it to me.
“Thanks,” we brush our teeth in silence and I smile. It felt like we were an old married couple doing our usual weekend morning routine. I playfully bump his side with my hip and he smiles at me before doing the same. We completely forget about brushing our teeth as our little game continues.
“Wanna borrow some sweats?” he asks after we finally finish brushing our teeth and I follow him out of the bathroom. He pokes my side when I don’t answer right away and I flinch at it.
“Sure, you don’t mind?” I poke him back and it goes back and forth until we’re having a tickle fight.
“Of course not,” he says as his fingers attack my side and I try to get away from them, “It’s not like it’ll be the first time you’ve borrowed some. Remember when you slept over last time?”
“Oh yeah,” I try to retaliate, but he’s too quick and before I know it he has me pinned on the ground. He’s sitting on my stomach, fingers tickling my sides as I thrash around underneath him. This is a rather compromising position we’re in. I’m out of breath with all the laughing I’m doing, he doesn’t seem like he’ll be letting up anytime soon either.
“You give up?” he smiles down at me and I nod my head.
“I give up,” I say between laughs and his fingers finally stop. He doesn’t get off me right away, just stares down at me and I feel my stomach do a couple flips. I turn my head away in hopes of heading the blush that’s spreading across my face. I jump when I feel his fingers brush across my forehead. It was weird being like this with him. We’re always so serious when we’re together, probably because I’m usually tutoring him. But yesterday and today, we’ve been more at ease with one another. And I like it. I like the way he is when he’s not concentrating on math. He’s a really great guy, just like I had imagined him to be. Now I don’t feel bad for liking him at all.
“Come on, we better get over there. I’m sure Pooh wasn’t joking when he said they’d eat all the food. Remember how much those three ate last night?” he asks, finally getting off of me and holding his hand out to help me up. I grab hold of his hand and he yanks me upwards before pulling me to his bedroom. Another compromising situation if you ask me, but I won’t think too much of it. I don’t even know if he likes me like that. Then again, after last night and this morning, I have a feeling that he might. I just need to figure out a way to get it out of him and I had the whole day to do so.
*~*
I woke up this morning with a splitting headache, not to mention an unfamiliar room. I started to panic because all I remember was that I was drinking a lot last night. I was afraid I ended up going home with some random creepy stranger at the end of the night. I relaxed completely when I saw the glass of water and aspirin on the night stand along with a note.
I’m sure you’ll be needing this.
You had quite a few drinks last night.
Yoogeun and I went next door for a sec.
We’ll be right back. Dori and Jess are
still asleep in the other room. Can you
keep an ear out for them. Thanks!
See you in a bit!
--Minho
It was probably a good fifteen minutes after I woke up before I heard the door to the apartment open and the sound of Yoogeun’s voice filling the silence.
“Appa!”
“Yoogeunnie, indoor voices remember? Key-ssi and your friends are still asleep,” Minho replies and I decide I should get out of bed. I wander over to his bathroom and see if he has anything that will cover up my morning breath. Thankfully he had some mouth wash I could use. Hopefully he didn’t mind.
“Morning,” I say when I walk out of his room and into the kitchen. Yoogeun and Minho were currently grabbing dishes to set the table. Well Minho did most of the grabbing, occasionally handing Yoogeun a plastic cup to go put on the table.
“Oh Morning!” Minho says to me, a warm smile on his face.
“Morning Mr. Key!” Yoogeun runs up to me and hugs my legs. I smile down at him and pick him up.
“Good morning Yoogeun. Did you sleep okay?”
“Ne. I even helped appa with breakie!” he’s beaming at me and I can’t help but let the smile on my face grow wider. He’s so cute.
“What did you make?” I ask him and move to the side so that I’m not standing in Minho’s way. He just gives us both a smile and continues to grab dishes out of the cupboards and utensils out of drawers.
“We made pancakes and French toast, eggs, and sausage!”
“That sounds really good,” I look at the table and see that every chair has a setting on it, “Expecting company for breakfast?”
“It’s our neighbor’s birthday. You’ve probably seen him pick Yoogeunnie up from daycare. He has bright blue hair,” Minho responds, this time going over to get various drinks from the kitchen.
“Oh yeah, I know who you’re talking about.”
“Yoogeun insisted we make breakfast for him this morning and I figured it was the least I could do since he baby sat the kids last night.”
“Yeah, I saw that Dori and Jess are here as well in your note you left me. Thanks for the aspirin by the way. I normally don’t drink that much,” I feel a soft blush cross my face and I set Yoogeun down on the ground.”
“I going to check on them appa!” he says before running off down the hall.
“He’s a certainly a bundle of energy in the morning,” I say.
“Yeah he is. I wish I were the same, but I’m pretty much dead to the world until I get my morning coffee in me,” and sure enough, he’s pouring himself some fresh coffee, “Want some?”
“Yes please,” I walk over to stand next to him and he hands me the mug he just poured, “Thank you.”
“No problem.”
“So about last night,” I start, I really couldn’t remember much. It was all fuzzy to me.
“What about it?”
“What happened?”
“We both got forced to go to a singles party that we didn’t want to go to and then we skipped out after about ten minutes of being there,” he hands me the creamer he just pulled from the fridge and pushes the container of sugar towards me as well.
“Thanks,” I start to add both to make my coffee just the way I like it, “Anything else happen?”
“We went to a little mom and pop restaurant I know about where you proceed to drink enough for the both of us. And when I asked you how to get to your apartment, you weren’t much help. So I brought you here. Before you think of the worst, I slept with Yoogeun and the kids in his room.”
“Oh okay. I didn’t act stupid or anything last night did I?”
“Nope, you were your usually bright and cheery self.”
“APPA! APPA! APPA! IS YOUNGIE HERE YET?!” Yoogeun exclaims, entering the kitchen again followed by two still half asleep kids behind him.
“Aw, Yoogeunnie, did you wake them up?” Minho asks while setting his mug down on the counter and going towards the kids. He picks Jess up just in time before she runs into one of the cabinets. I follow after him and pick Dori up. He wraps his body around me immediately and rests his head on my shoulder.
“They sleep too long appa. It’s wakey wakey time!” he’s jumping up and down. I really don’t know how anyone could have this much energy after waking up.
“But they’re obviously still sleepy sweetheart. You should have let them continue to sleep, at least until Youngwon-ssi gets here,” Minho says, bouncing the kid in his arms in attempts to get her back to sleep.
“But Youngie is almost here!” and as if on cue, the door to the apartment opens again and I can hear the faint sound of footsteps walking towards us. I glance to the entrance of the kitchen to see a blue haired man as well as a blond walk into the room. I can tell right off the bat that they like each other by the way that they’re purposely standing at least a foot apart and making sure that they don’t get any closer than that. I turn to Minho and see that he’s also giving the two a questioning look.
“YOUNGIE!” Yoogeun runs over to the blue-haired boy and starts to tug on his hand towards the table, “Look what we cooked!”
“Wow Pooh, you cooked all of this for me?” he says as he looks at the spread on the table.
“Yoogeun, please keep your voice down,” Minho says, going to get his coffee and I can see that Jess is asleep again. I look down at the kid that I have in my arms and see he is asleep as well. I go over to get my coffee as well before settling down at the table, “You want me to put them down in the living room?”
“No it’s okay,” I tell Minho, adjusting Dori so that he’ll be a little more comfortable in my lap, “He has quite a grip on me and I’m sure once we put them down, they’ll wake up.”
“Aw, you guys make the cutest family!” the blond-haired boy exclaims as we all sit down for breakfast, “You have a really cute boyfriend Minho hyung.”
I can feel my cheeks getting hot again at what was just said, “Oh I’m not his boyfriend. I’m Yoogeun’s teacher at daycare and friends with Minho-ssi.”
“You sure about that?” he winks at me and my cheeks get even hotter.
“I’m sorry I didn’t catch you name,” I say in hopes of changing the subject.
“That’s because I didn’t throw it,” he gives a laugh, “I’m Taemin, Youngwon’s friend and math tutor.”
“Are you now?” I ask and it’s my turn to wink at him.
“Youngie! Eat! Eat! Eat!” Yoogeun yells and he’s standing on his chair trying to put food on the older boy’s plate.
“I will Pooh, but you need to sit down before you fall. Remember what happened last night? We don’t need a repeat of that,” he coaxes the overly excited boy back to a sitting position before turning to me, “I’m Youngwon.”
“I know, you pick Yoogeun up from daycare,” I say, “I’m Key by the way.”
“Nice to meet you Key hyung,” Taemin smiles at me before he starts to put food on his own plate.
“You as well.”
“Appa,” Yoogeun turns to Minho.
“Yes?” he replies, brushing the hair out of Jess’ face as he sets her down on his lap. She curls into him and I smile. Minho really was an amazing appa and seeing him with the kids makes me like him even more.
“We sing the birfday song now?” he asks.
“It’s someone’s birthday?” I ask now.
“It’s Youngie’s birfday!” Yoogeun throws his hands up in the air and cheers.
“Oh well happy birthday Youngwon.”
“Thank you Key hyung,” the next hour is spent singing the birthday song, Yoogeun can’t get enough of it, and eating breakfast. The twins wake up halfway through breakfast, Dori is almost just as energetic as Yoogeun while Jess is a little more clingy. She doesn’t let Minho put her in her chair and yells at her brother when he tries to get her go play with them.
“I is going to tell umma and appa you not being nice!” Dori yells before running into the living room with Yoogeun. They’re screaming something about Power Rangers and I laugh.
“It’s okay Jess,” Minho says, “Are you still sleepy?”
“No.”
“Then what’s wrong?”
“I want my appa!” she says and a few tears escape her eyes. I move over to the seat beside Minho and wipe her face.
“Well your appa will be here soon. So why don’t you go and play with your brother and Yoogeun.”
“Shiro. Me no want.”
“Well did you want to eat your pancakes now then?”
“Uh huh,” Minho turns her around in his lap and pulls her plate closer to her. She grabs the fork and starts to eat her breakfast.
“They’re so cute!” Taemin coos and pinches her cheek. Surprisingly she’s not bothered by it at all. Just then Yoogeun and Dori run into the room, sing happy birthday again, and then run out.
“How can they have so much energy this early in the morning?” Youngwon asks between laughs.
“I was thinking the say thing,” I say, “So what are your plans for your birthday?”
“I was going to study. I have a math exam on Tuesday.”
“Seriously? You’re going to spend your birthday studying?” I turn to Taemin, “You know as his math tutor, you should forbid him from studying today. Who studies on their birthday? You should go out with your friends and have some fun.”
“Oh he won’t be studying. I’m not going to let him,” Taemin says.
“So what do you have planned for today?”
“I’m thinking we should go to the amusement park. And then after dinner we can go to noraebang. What do you think Youngwon-ssi?”
“Sounds good to me.”
“Just make sure you get yourself some cake somewhere. It’s not a birthday without cake,” I add.
“Oh I know this really good bakery that we can get cake at. It’s right near the amusement park so it’ll be on our way anyways. You’ll love it Youngwon-ssi. They’re strawberry cake is the best!”
“I only likes cake if they are cuppycakes. Just like Inati umma makes for me,” Jess randomly says and Minho laughs.
“Are you all better now?” he asks her, tickling her stomach and she laughs.
“Ne.”
“You want to go play now?”
“Ne.”
“Okay,” he sets her down on the floor and she runs off to join the others in the living room, “Well you two better get going if you want to spend the day at the amusement park. Now would be a good time to go because it shouldn’t be too crowded so the lines should be short.”
“Yeah and if you don’t mind, can we stop by my place so I can grab some clothes and a few other things before we go there,” Taemin asks Youngwon and he nods, “Maybe you guys can meet up with us for dinner?”
“Well I know Yoogeun and I would love to join you for a birthday dinner. I’m not sure about Key-ssi though. Do you have other plans?”
“Nope. I’m completely free today.”
“Great, so we can take you back to your place on our way to dinner so you can freshen up and whatnot. Unless you need to get going now.”
“Nope. I’m in no rush. I’m okay with just stopping by on the way to dinner.”
“Okay well then we will see you two tonight!” Taemin gets up and starts to clear the table.
“Oh don’t worry about that Taemin-ssi. I’ll take care of it. You two go on,” Minho says, grabbing the plates from the younger boy.
“You sure?”
“Uh huh. Go on,” he pushes the two out of the door and I take over cleaning up. I can feel him walk into the kitchen just when I start on the dishes, “You don’t have to do that Key.”
“It’s the least I can do for crashing at your place,” he’s standing beside me, trying to get the sponge out of my hand, but I don’t let him, “Go and play with the kids. I can wash the dishes.”
“No, I’ll wash the dishes and you go and play with them.”
“No. You go,” I bump his side.
“How about we both wash the dishes. You clean and I’ll rinse. I’m sure the kids will be fine for ten minutes.”
“Fine.”
“Key,” he says in the middle of us doing the dishes and I turn to look at him.
“Yeah?”
“I know that I probably shouldn’t bring this up, but it’s been on my mind since you said it.”
“Um, okay. What did I say?”
“Well you told me something last night. And I just wanted to know if you meant it or not.”
“Okay. Again what did I say?” I really hope I didn’t say something stupid.
“You told me that you like me,” he says just barely above a whisper.
“I what?” my eyes are wide and I drop the sponge into the sink. I turn to face him, but he remains facing the wall, “I t-told you t-that?”
“Yeah. I mean I realize that you were drunk and probably didn’t mean it and I don’t know why it’s been on my mind. I just, I guess I wanted to make sure,” he says in one breath and I giggle. He’s cute when he’s nervous. I place my hand on his arm and he finally looks at me.
I lean forward and just barely brush my lips with his, “I like you Hoho.”
He smiles at me and leans down, brushing his lips against mine once again, “I like you too Kim Bap.”
Neither one of us notice the three little heads poking around the corner trying to suppress their happy giggles. We both just lean forward once more for another kiss.
*~*
“So will you tell me when your wish comes true?” Taemin asks while the roller coaster slowly ticks up to the first drop.
“Why do you want to know so badly? Besides I just made my wish before we came here, it probably won’t come true today.”
“It’s your birthday, your wish should come true today. Come on, you have to tell me when it comes true.”
“Fine, fine. I’ll tell you,” I reply just when we reach the top and are thrown over it in the first big drop of the ride. I had already planned for my wish to come true today. I just needed to time it just right. I just hope that it doesn’t turn out badly. This could change everything, but I’m willing to take that chance. I’m not going to just sit around anymore, besides I can’t keep failing math or I’ll lose my scholarship.
The ride was coming to an end and I know that the camera was coming up soon. I saw it while we were standing in line and was secretly thankful that this ride had it at the end of the ride and not at one of the drops. I don’t understand why it was at the end of the ride, but it was perfect for me.
“That was amazing! We’ll have to come back and go on this one before we leave,” Taemin says to me and I just nod my head. I keep my eyes forward because this really needed to be timed just right for it work, “I wonder where the camera is though. I don’t remember seeing a flash on any of the drops. Maybe this ride doesn’t have one, but I remember seeing pictures when we were getting in line. Maybe they just have them hidden really well. Oh I can’t wait to see our picture.”
“Taemin,” I finally say and he looks at me. I lean forward just in time to see a flash out of the corner of my eye. I quickly pull away and my cheeks immediately heat up. It’s completely silent between us until the ride finally stops. I jump out of our cart the moment I get the chance to and run down the steps. I silently curse myself on each step, not even bothering to see if Taemin was behind me. I’m so stupid for talking myself into doing that.
“Youngwon!” I hear from behind me and I speed up my pace. I couldn’t look at him right now. I just wanted to crawl under a rock and hide. What was I thinking?! I’m so stupid! “Youngwon! Will you slow down!”
I pretend like I don’t hear him and keep on walking. I’ll just go back to my apartment and text Minho hyung that dinner is canceled. Then I’ll spend the night doing what I was planning on doing anyways, study for my math test. I don’t hear him screaming my name anymore so I slow down my pace a little. This has got to be the most embarrassing birthday of my life, even more embarrassing than when I only had one person show up for my 8th birthday party.
I’m cursing myself all the way home and when I do get home I plop down on the couch to sulk for the rest of the night. What was I thinking kissing him out of the blue like that? He probably thinks I’m some creepo now. I should probably text Minho hyung now, but I don’t have the energy to. All I want to do right now is take a nap, maybe all of this was just a really bad dream and when I wake up none of it would have happened. Yeah right, I’m not that lucky.
Right when my brain is about to let me drift off to sleep, someone starts to knock on my door. I groan and flip over, hoping that whoever it is will go away. I just wanted to sleep, I didn’t want to talk to anyone.
“Youngwon-ssi, I know that you’re in there,” Taemin’s voice comes from the other side of the door, “Please let me in. We need to talk about what happened back at the amusement park.”
“No we don’t,” I yell back.
“Yes we do, so please open the door. I’m not leaving until you do.”
“Fine, fine,” I roll off the couch and walk over to the door. I open it and walk away, I couldn’t look at him right now. I hear him follow me in and we both take a seat on the couch.
“Can you look at me Youngwon-ssi? Please.”
“I’m sorry for what I did back there. I know I shouldn’t have, but I couldn’t hold back anymore. I’ve liked you for so long Taemin. Ever since I saw you on the first day of class. I don’t even need a math tutor, if anything I should be tutoring you,” I blurt out, eyes focused on the black t.v. in front of us.
“Did your wish come true?”
“What?” I turn to face him and he’s smiling at me while holding up the picture that the ride’s camera took of us.
“You told me that you’d tell me when your wish came true. Did it?”
“No,” I say and that’s when he leans in until our lips are touching.
“I like you too Youngwon-ssi,” he says when he pulls away.
“It just came true,” I pull him back towards me for another kiss, this time one that we were both ready for.
