Office #21, Saturday

Sep 29, 2012 09:09

Jaime did not come to his office very often. To be honest, he didn't come to his office at all when given the choice. Movement was more his forte.

But there he was. For his students. And, most importantly, bored out of his mind. Seven save him from the work of a maester.

[[Open, of course!]]

office hours, parents weekend, jaime would rather have a sword

The sounds of his footfalls are soft in the tennis shoes he's wearing but he's finally taken off the sweatshirt that makes him look about fifteen and is in a polo and slacks. It elevates his apparent age to about eighteen which isn't that much more impressive but he seems confident enough as he stops just outside the room and tilts back on the heels of his feet, taking in both the office, the man inside and to soft smell of leather, metal and weapon oil. The paper said there were two instructors for the one class but there was only one man inside the office. Rocking forward onto the balls of his feet he doesn't take his hands out of his pockets just yet, but he does clear his throat politely to announce his presence before speaking recalling the names slowly from memory. "Professor... Rogers or Lannister, I presume?"

"Lannister," Jaime replied, giving the boy a once over. "And who are you here for?"

If the once over bothered Bran he didn't let on, he stepped into the office assuming invitation and glanced at the walls once before turning his attention back to the man. "Bran Cornick, here for Mercedes Thompson."

"Bran?" Now that was a name he hadn't really heard here. Always a welcome sight, if you asked him. Normal names. Like Bran or Aemon. "Are you her brother?"

'John Aaron,' with his mohawk, leather jacket, and work boots, loomed in Jaime's doorway and announced, "You teach my son."

Very helpful, that.

"I'm afraid you'll need to be more specific on who that is," Jaime replied. Because yes. Many sons running around here.

"Alexander," 'John' supplied. "About this high," holding up his hand to somewhere around his collarbone, "blond. I assume he actually attends your class, from how he can't shut up about it when he remembers to call me."

"Ah, yes," he replied with a smile. "I know him. He was in my squiring class as well."

And of course he'd talk about Jaime to his dad. Because Jaime was awesome.
