Spring (Cleaning) Fever

Mar 05, 2008 17:56

I started cleaning my room over the weekend. The mountain of laundry has grown, but at least I can see the floor now. I am glad that I imposed a no-perishable-food-in-my-room rule on myself. I found all my rings and am wearing them right now; it no longer bothers me to wear them while typing.

My mission from today until Friday is to wash clothes until the laundry can be classified as a pile. If I am successful, then I'll reward myself by going to Radford with Alex to party. If not, then I'll have to spend another weekend cleaning.

Work is work. As usual, we're understaffed and none of the front counter staff can get any actual work done because we're all too busy answering phones and helping customers. When we do have people willing and able to help out, we have to waste time waiting for IT to set up the temporary accounts and permissions, then waste time getting them to come back 3 times because it wasn't done correctly the first time, and then by the time it's all set up properly THE DAY IS HALF GONE. RRG so frustrating!!

Alex gave me a backrub last night, and already his hard work has been undone by stress and poor workstation ergonomics. I bet my back would still be knotted up even if he gave me 3 backrubs a day, every day, for a week. ~sigh~

On the bright side, I found my copy of FFII for the PSP, and have started playing that. And I found my spare car key! I thought I lost it over a year ago; turns out it had fallen in between my bookshelf and dresser.

Ok, I started this entry 3 days ago and always end up with too much work to be able to finish it. So I'll end it with a few more interesting links:

  • The Internet truly brings out the best in people: Example 1, Example 2

  • I want this woman's lawyer.

  • On the questionable toy design front: Whoever designed this Dora the Explorer toy is either an idiot or a genius; I can't decide which. Either way, they need mental help.
