Shokura Cuts 2018.01

Lately I've been asked by a friend to share the cuts of Shounen Club. Since a lot of files are now already in my Mega account so I thought I might just share it here, in case someone else want to get the cut but not wanting to download the full show.

I always got the full show from shokura then cut it myself based on my own preferences of what to keep. I

I know right!!! I really love the way SixTONES covers KAT-TUN songs. They have that "fierce" feeling that KAT-TUN had. I watched several other KAT-TUN covers by other jrs but... just.. different. Like I ever found Mr. KING sang Change Ur World and they performed it a bit... off, I guess? Of all KAT-TUN songs, Change Ur World is one particular fierce song and king sort of lacks that fierceness... you know. It felt completely different when it's SixTONES. (Or maybe Snow Man, they also have that fierce vibe, they delivered Change Ur World in excelent way, plus point to the added fierce dance part- or maybe that's just me being biased lol)

Juri rapping is always my weakness, gosh. I've always been weak to rapper and Juri being Koki's lil brother that got certain angles accentuating their blood relation really doesn't help at all. Everytime Juri got to rap (or even sing) in Koki's place I got super weak My heart 💔 I really really miss him being in KAT-TUN, although I'm still also happy that he still going strong and pursuing what makes him happy. But yeah, I miss him in KAT-TUN :")

When I first dived in SixTONES I also thought that SixTONES is like KAT-TUN with a whole new improvement in aspects that KAT-TUN lacks of. Yeah, the bond, especially. Although KAT-TUN had their kizuna and all, but let's face the fact that they were originally strangers being put together in a group and they had gone through some fights. SixTONES is different, they were casted together for a movie and it's them who insisted on sticking together for 3 years or so until they finally get a proper group name. They seem to have pretty strong real bond.

I'm... not really sure with Akame though. I started following KAT-TUN in 2011 when they were already 5nin and I ship KoKame so hard so... I have nothing to say about Akame haha.

It's really fine with shipping rarepairs xD I too don't usually go with mainstream pairs (that KoKame is one example lol), I've always known by my friends for liking 2nd rate pairs lol. KyomoJuri is actually my no 1 pair in SixTONES but ShinJuri works just fine for me (also since even if tbh I'm not really fond of KyomoHoku but all of my friends ship them and I don't want to ignite fire so yeah, let me just focus on the side pair).
KyomoJuri and KyomoJess were already a thing but ShinTaiga feels like a crack pair for me xD But I understand how you feel. I'm obv Juri-biased and I basically able to ship him with everyone lol.

I wonder if Juri ever asked Kouki for advice rapping his own parts... or if Kouki ever saw 6tones covering KT... it seems so bittersweet to think. As fan of KT since their juniors days, sometimes the thought that goes into my head is 'why am I doing this to myself, I've lived this anxiety-filled fannish days of desperately wanting your boys to debut, etc, why do this again? XDD' but I keep on downloading 6tones vids and saving scans and reading interviews, so clearly the do-M part is alive and well OTZ

I didn't know that they stayed together with that lineup out of their own accord! That's amazing! KT stuck together because of Koichi-kun, and then they got too popular to reshuffle, so yeah I agree that's very different. I've been reading interviews etc the whole weekend through since I'm still bedresting, and I agree with you that they have a stronger bond. Also less ego, I guess.

I also think what happened to their older brothers matured Juri and Shintarou a lot, the way they talk seem really relaxed and stable, and they as a group also seem more unguarded when it's the 6 of them. I'm reminded of watching them in Jr Dex and noticing how they keep crowding together in one corner and once Taiga even put his back to the camera (which, hello, television taboo, everyone?) to face Jesse who seems to be having issues with his hair after getting into a pool XD When KT crowd together in a corner when being grouped with other Juniors it's usually because they don't want to participate in silliness XD it's like 6tones got famous for playing yankees, but KT were close to actual yankees back then XDD They calmed down a lot after debuting, ofc.

Oh don't sweat it about my AkaKame comment, (I'm... not Akanish's biggest fan, let's just leave it at that). I just remember the love/hate relationship I have with that ship, and also how hot/cold they were with each other and how I thought maybe HokuKyomo is something similar, but I think after watching more of them it's not quite that? The Japanese fans talked about how at first it's always JesseTaiga at the front singing (like AkaKame were for KT) but as Hokuto rise in popularity he then got to duet up front with Jesse instead, and that seemed to put a bit of a strain on their relationship? (on the last Dex they said how they don't get along either) -- it seems like since Taiga is still the better singer, and because he's such a perfectionist, he might've seen it as a critique of his skills? But I guess they now just switch main vocals combinations every once in a while to keep everybody happy and hone everybody's skills, maybe.

I'm actually really happy to hear you're a KoKame fan, I love them too :33 (Well. I also love PiKame and TsuyoKazu and other various ships because I tend to fandom bicycle-ized my faves (as Taiga will now be) ^^;; I can clearly see the appeal of JuriKyomo too. I see what you mean about ShinTaiga being a crackpair, but I like the idea of Shintaro being the younger and yet the mature one in that relationship while Taiga filled his head with fine arts and other pretty things XD (also, same on the not really seeing HokuKyomo as a ship).

I'm very happy to realised I'm not alone in seeing JesseTaiga hints though (as I feel like I'm taking crazy pills and seeing things) -- it seems like the Chinese fans have a following for that ship :33 It's not much but I don't feel so alone now. They don't really fic, but they do do fanvids and maybe if I got lucky, if they get more of a fanbase we'll get fanarts too :33 /wishfulthinking.

And... you get another dissertation OTZ sorry bout that.

PS: Have you seen 6tones' intro for the Johnny's Jr official YT Channel thingie? Their video is the most popular, I'm impressed <3
