Summary: The recent infamous news of Koki doesn't really affect Kame. Because he believes.
"Kame, have you heard? About Koki." Yamapi looked over his shoulder to Kame who was currently flipping over the script book for Boku no Unmei. Both of them were currently shooting for their airing drama, still on break from one scene to another.
"Mm hm," kame answered indifferently, still focusing on his script.
Yamapi quirked his eyebrow, "You're surprisingly calm." He walked slowly to plop down on the cushion next to Kame, "Weren't you two close?" Yamapi stared at Kame, trying hard to notice any small reaction that he expected Kame to make. He couldn't find any though.
Not getting any answer, Yamapi only encouraged to say more, "How long has it been? Since he left?" Yamapi tried to count with his fingers, "3 years?"
"And 8 months," Kame finally dropped his script book, stared at nothing in particular, "Almost 4 years."
Yamapi was amused to finally be able to gain his attention. He knew that this topic is sensitive to Kame, but that's the more reason for him to bring that up. "Woah, you do count."
Kame kept silent, now playing with the pink beads of his bracelet. Kame had a lot of accessories, but there was one bracelet that he deared very deeply. A simple handmade bracelet, with yellow striped black string and pink beads. He might not wear that all the time, but he brought it with him everywhere.
"Ermmm, so, what do you think about it?" Yamapi shifted his legs to get a more comfortable position, "As for me, I am not surprised if he actually used marijuana. Just that I thought he's pretty careless to get the police--"
"I believe him." Kame said so softly, almost as a whisper but that alone could cut off Yamapi's words. "Because he promised me."
Yamapi was about to open his mouth to ask for more when one of the staff called him to prepare for shooting the next scene. Yamapi had no choice other than getting up and leaving Kame alone.
Kame took out a paper from his wallet. It was a completely worn out paper, with lines of words written on it and some scribbles here and there.
It was a lyric. For a duet song that would never be released.
Kame and Koki once made that lyric together, they even already made the melody. The melody that will only two of them know, that will always be playing inside their heart, because their song was not just any song, it was a song full of faith and promises.
