For the life of me, I don't understand all this pissing an moaning about who is a geek and who isn't. First there's an article that administers an apparent litmus test, and then there's a counter article that takes apart the whole notion (among maybe counters, I might add). The original link seems to have inspired a vast ocean of ink to be spilled -- or, since that isn't appropriate in our age -- a vast among of packets to be sent. People's fervor on this is downright serious. I am left to wonder: what is the greater point here? People ought to be able to just do what they want, and not be scored for purity. Pretty simple. That's it. I don't have some sort of deeply nuanced, cleverly worded argument to post here. Because it really isn't necessary. Just do what you want, love what you love, don't be an asshole about it.
