(no subject)
oh man. i haven't posted about the new job yet, but it's amazing! i've been working so much (with an hour commute each way) that i just pass out after spending my quality time with john. stewart that is.
so i wake up looking forward to work everyday, i work with an amazing team of devoted gamer-guys who think i'm ridiculous (what else is new eh?)
and i got paid last friday! oh my god i've never seen so much money! so i went out and bought THIS in black. it's my very first "investment." it goes well with THIS bedding and my clearance (SCORE!!) desk from office depot with a massive green glass top (which i can get glue all over and just scrape off later!) my room finally looks like a room after six months.
i've been reading books like crazy and binding books like crazy and eating sushi like crazy.
tonight i met up with my bookclub at a pub up past broadway. we were "that" group, practically a gaggle of drunk women laughing hysterically about gandhi being hot. (not really, but that's what both of the 2 bartenders who came over to ask what we were talking about thought.) my face still hurts now. i'm so excited to have met fun girls in this town, especially ones who don't talk about guys all the time! i think i'm reinstating the no-guys policy until i get my life down pat, which means getting aiden (kitty) out here from my parents house in rochester. i'm starting to think a sublet would be a good idea. it would get me my own place, living on my own for the first time (which is supposed to be this great growing experience) but not have that terrifying 1 year commitment. so things are pretty awesome. my parents are coming to visit after my birthday and i cry when i think about seeing my mom. i'm so bad about calling everyone, but i know she knows i miss her.
i'm going to sleep! for there is much sleeping to be done. and tomorrow donuts and coffee to be eaten. and supplies to be bought. and records to be listened to. and laps to be swum. and movies to be seen!
