Me: Native Canadian Center, Good Morning!
Person on phone: Hello, yes, I wanted to know if there is any [Certain event] going on there today?
Me: No, the [Certain Event] will only begin next week.
Pop: Oh... are you sure?
Me: Yes.
Pop: Isn’t there another person you can ask?
Me: No, there is no one here. Everyone comes at 9 am.
Pop: Are you sure?
Me: Yes.
Pop: What about in the kitchen? Is anyone there?
Me: No, no one arrives until 9 am.
Pop: Are you sure?
Me: Yes.
Pop: Well... that’s strange... hmmm... are you sure?
*security off from the side*: Tell them there is no one here!
Me (covering receiver): I did! They keep asking!
Security *rolls eyes*
Me: Should I tell them the only one here is my “magical sparkly totem animal” that can speak to them?
Security: YES!
Me (back on the phone): The only one here is my magic sparkly totem animal.
Pop: Really? Oh my God, I heard Indians have those! Do they know?
Me *pretend to ask*: No, they say they it begins next week.
