Room 419, late-ish Monday evening

Charlie had her TK ball out again, slowly making it roll around on the floor.

Hmm. Maybe a kitten would enjoy this.. she could take it into work....

Whenever she thought she felt the twinge of a headache, she'd stop, and check the candle, just in case it got away from her. So far, nothing.

"Hola," Carmela wanders in to the room and flops down backwards on to her bed. She then rolls on to her side and watches Charlie and the funky ball-thing with interest. "What's that?"

[girlzippo]

"Hey," Charlie said, looking up and smiling, letting the ball collapse in on itself. "It's a TK ball. Telekinesis ball," she corrected herself. "Bridge loaned it to me so I could practice my control. Since I don't really have all that much."

[grenfelzer]

"Cooool," Carmela says. "I wish I could do that telekinesis thing. But no superpowers for lil' old me."

[girlzippo]

Charlie gave her a disbelieving look. "You can talk to our fridge. What do you call that?"

The ball rolled over, contracting and expanding, and nudged Carmela.

"Anyone can learn the Speech," Carmela shrugs modestly. And okay, on Earth at least, a non-wizard having a working knowledge of the language was highly unusual, but she doesn't add that.

[girlzippo]

"Its a lot more useful than being able to push small things around with my mind," Charlie pointed out. She grinned, rolling the ball toward herself, then lifting it up to hover in the air. "Ask the fridge what I put on the top shelf for you."

"What are you hiding in there?" she asks it obligingly. The answer makes her grin widely as she bounces off the bed to grab the chocolate torte from the fridge.

"You," she says, pointing with a fork to Charlie. "Are officially the best roomie ever. I am just sayin'."

[girlzippo]

Charlie snickered. "Namine' works at Cafe Fina on Mondays? And she gives away free dessert if you give her art or stories. So that's my day to go say hi to her and bug her at her job."

[grenfelzer]

"Cooool," Carmela says. "Maybe I'll come with you sometime. We should totally do more roomie-hanging-out stuff."

[girlzippo]

"Definitely!" Charlie made the ball open, and close, open, and close. "And come by to play with the kitties at Groovy Tunes any time I'm working. That's always fun." She grinned. "Chad brought his new kitten in today. Prince Oscar Pedro."
