SGA 5.19 Vegas
Oh, Stargate Atlantis, why couldn't all of S5 be this awesome? I LOVED this episode, and I would totally watch the AU CSI: Atlantis version of this show. This Detective John Sheppard is especially tasty and delicious and got way more character development and background than regular Sheppard did in five seasons. Solitary man, indeed. Also, I refuse to believe he died.
And how much do I love SRS BZNS McKay? Much as I love my regular Rodney, there is something about him not being all squishy under the hard candy shell that does it for me. Or maybe it's just the suit. Either way, YUM on them both.
I definitely have to watch again. Did they ever tell us what happened to Sheppard's eye? So, I'm assuming the Goth Wraith's message got through to our Pegasus and this explains why the Wraith make it to the SGC in the final episode. Which if they actually wrote in that kind of continuity would be pretty cool, so let's not all jump in and give the writers too much credit.
More things I liked: the awesome cowboy movie-type music, especially when Sheppard entered rooms, and the great CSI-style visuals. Sheppard's sole possessions being a bitchin' Camaro and a Johnny Cash poster. Badass McKay. Sheppard asking McKay, "You're just gonna let me go?" while thinking, "Don't you want to get my number or something?" Also the Soprano dudes cameo. And The Wools being as awesome as ever. Ooh, and that Sheppard just flat-out took the money from the Wraith's room.
Boo, however, for making this AU version of Holland a girl. They could've at least kept it gender neutral and not had McKay say either she or he.
ETA: Somehow I missed that Rodney is wearing a wedding ring in this one?! I really DO have to watch again!
