Thoughts on Worlds

Some random thoughts on Worlds from today:

Rebecca Bross, US - This girl is really solid on all events, I was impressed by how she performed in this meet. Her bars were great and her beam was outstanding! I love the form on her sheep jump and her dismount is super hard but she makes it look easy. If it were not for the one flub on floor (hands down on the last pass) she would have won gold. I felt bad about that mistake because I thought she deserved to finish first!

Bridget Sloan, US - I really like her floor routine but there's just something about her on the other events that I don't like. I'm not really sure what it is. Anyway, congrats to her for finishing first overall. She was the most consistent in the competition and she was rewarded with gold.

Rebecca Downie, UK - I really, really loved her floor routine and choreography! I'm not sure who's coaching the British team these days but whoever did her choreo deserves kudos, I think it was the best in the competition!

Lauren Mitchell, AUS - Her beam was awesome, I really loved her connection series and her leaps are all so well done. She is a pleasure to watch on this event!

Porgras, ROM - I thought her floor was good but she seemed disappointing to me on the other events.

Leos - This was not a great meet for pretty leotard designs. I thought the US girls' pink leos were cute and I also liked Lauren Mitchell's. Hers had those sheer arms which I think are really pretty and I had a cute design on the front. Other than that I didn't like much else.
