So I'm on my third day straight of biking and I really do love it. Justin has been a great biking buddy.
Decided to walk to Landmark last night to meet Peter who's in town from DC (he biked most of the way from DC to here until his bike broke), but the second I stepped out the door my legs were twitching and I just craved the feeling of being on my bike. Weird, right?
On my way to work today (on my bike, of course), I decided to take Water. I was moving through an intersection downtown on a green light and I had the right of way; this car turning left across my lane decided to either a) try to beat me through by turning in front of me, or b) didn't see me and he almost took me out. I yelled, "OY, WATCH IT YOU IDIOT!" through his open window (yeah, we were that close). So that was my first brush with injury on a bike and I look forward to many more.
I don't have a comfortable backpack or messenger - the one I've been using slips and shifts heavy loads in incredibly awkward ways - so I think I may have to hipster-douche it up with one of
these.
My next bike investment? Locking pins for my quick release wheels.
