Erika Jean (Erika J. Bock) began her DJ career in college radio (91.7fm WSUW Whitewater) from 1994-1999. Shortly after leaving the station, she began playing records in her Milwaukee apartment, where her cat and roommates served as her first DJ groupies.
From these humble beginnings, she soon attained local fame and recognition for her unique vision, style and selection, which includes everything from indie rock, Britpop, and 80s & 90s jams to old school hip hop, electro and dance selections. Erika Jean has embraced the current technology of laptop DJing while maintaining a select assortment of records for gigging.
In addition to working private parties and select weddings, she has been rewarded for her ingenuity with residencies at Room 434 (2005-06), MOCT (2006-08, with scheduled one-off events), Club Anything? (2006), Redroom (2007, occasional one-off events), Jackalope Lounj (2007) and The Social (2005-2008).
Miss Erika Jean currently holds two residencies: bi-weekly at Highbury Pub for Boarding School, a Britpop night, and weekly at Hi Hat Garage for SIN Sundays.
