In all honesty I can not recall my last update, I could go back and read it but I see no point in doing such; I will simply start at what I can recall as the beginning and once I reach the end stop.
Yesterday was Wednesday and I faced my Civil War midterm as bravely as the doomed union soldiers lead by General Burnside 13 consecutive times toward a confederate line shielded by a stone wall on December 13th 1862. Needless to say I am a dork, but a civil war buff of a dork now (the awesome or sad thing is I pulled that simile from my brain, date and all). I was pretty comfortable with the materiel, wrote my three essays to the best of my ability in my 50 min, turned in my blue book with two min to spare and was the third one finished.
That night I enjoyed a true never ending pasta bowl at Olive Garden with Erin, I got to the third bowl of pasta… three bowls. Then off to services, for an hour and a half, maybe two hours I really lost track of time all I know is I didn’t want to stand up and sit down only stand up sit down any more. I received a voicemail from AJ inviting me to dance… seeing as how I was absolved from all sin I decided dancing was a dandy idea. I went home and got ready.
I was Picked up and off to Atlantic for “twist and shout” a spectacular night of dancing and amazing music. When I heard 96 tears by ? and the Mysterians I knew the night would be amazing. Some other wonderful songs of the night included but were not limited to, Substitute by the Who, Sympathy for the devil by the Stones, that Nancy Sinatra boots song, the foundations build me up buttercup song and the Beatle’s Hard day’s night. Danced with my friends, then made some new friends and danced with them too. Needless to say AMAZING. At two o’clock we simply moved the party to a house and continued dancing; to an acoustic guitar with us singing. Alkaline trio, the postal service, Brand New, Sisqo, Outcast… all excellent on guitar… but odd. Finally home showered and slept.
Today I slept in, studied, didn’t eat, studied some more, still didn’t eat, and I finally broke fast at 5:30… I can only handle so long. Now I am avoiding studying for my French test…
Tomorrow class, hopefully a lecture from the Civil War conference being held here, class, work then who knows… the who knows is really the best part of the night.
