I'm having some trouble here, honey. Why is this site crazy? It looked like a decent educational site to me.
And, to further their own truth they misrepresent the Bible passages by leaving parts out, and not quoting all that is written.
The Quran is their Bible, or at least the equivalent thereof. That's why it's a different faith -- they don't believe the exact same things as the Christians. They aren't misrepresenting Bible passages. They're interpreting it to prove they're right -- just as Christians do with other religions. If you read the Quran, you would probably draw some points or stories from there to support your own faith. That's simply how it works.
...if I was Muslim they'd have killed me by now because I would never accept the harsh restrictions they put on people, especially women.
Except for two things:
(1) Not all Muslim women have these restrictions. Just as there are hardcore Christians and loose Christians, there are hardcore Muslims and loose Muslims. Some follow all the rules, some do not. (Also -- in the eighties/nineties, many Muslim women chose to have these restrictions put upon them in support of their more strict version of religion.)
(2) If you did grow up with those restrictions, you wouldn't be the same person you are now. You can say you would throw aside the rules, but you also grew up as an independent woman of the United States. If we changed that and you grew up as a closeted Muslim woman, you would probably not find as much wrong with those restrictions. You may even support them! You also wouldn't know how to cast them aside, if only because you would better know the consequences of doing so.
Don't be so quick to judge another culture, honey. Circumstances create different environments and rules, so we all need to accept the differences of others in order to live in harmony and all that kumbaya.
