week in review?
Trivia: 4th place. Joe's back! No one told me or Peter that karaoke was off. He did "Since U Been Gone" and then we left early because it was packed (and a whole bunch of the Lesbian Sorority was there).
Work: I'm actually getting bored with having Wednesdays off. I can never find enough to do to occupy myself. If you ever want to go on a Wednesday adventure, I'm your girl.
Goals: I finally picked up a couple of GRE study guides. It's only a first step but it's pretty much the first thing I've done beyond just talking about how much I want to go back to school.
Weekend: I went to broil up a big steak on Friday evening and realized it was like 17 ounces. xamichee came to the rescue and drove over to eat half of it for me. Right after we got back here from the liquor store, aaronstj and his lovely wife came over for Mario Kart Double Dash. There was an inordinate amount of screaming involved during the battle rounds. I talked Aaron and Patty into coming to CHAC for the last Electric Avenue; I'm kinda sad that was the end of it. I think my pint-glasses of vodka tonic at home during Mario Kart took a toll on me and I maybe ended up getting kind of ridiculous, but I did have a really good time.
Saturday afternoon/evening, there was a birthday party for Renatta out at Alki. It was Tiki-themed but I was too tired and yucky-feeling in the morning to put together an outfit (also, do I look like I have Tiki-inspired clothing?). aaronstj and I went on an ice run shortly after we arrived, though, and found a garage sale on the way back. This garage sale happened to be selling, FOR A DOLLAR, a his-and-hers Hawaiian shirt and dress combo. It was basically awesome and hilarious.
Sunday was the farmer's market and buying the GRE books and I think I'm going to take the books over to Cal Anderson to read in the sun.
