i made it through the wilderness.
ok, before i say anything else, let me just say that i don't know if it was watching it on a laptop with total focus, or the actual content of the episode, but this show made me LOVE this series again and want to keep watching. this episode: A+++++ way to go guys.
• CRISTINA. oh. my. god. first of all, her singing 'like a virgin' alone in the morgue was so weirdly moving to me that i almost cried at that point. when she was in front of the chief and ACTUALLY SHED TEARS i teared up. throughout all of the episode she was either singing or being silent, and when she finally got honest with the chief i was like YES. YES. YES. she is my favorite character by a long shot and i was so pissed off because she wasn't really progressing and now finally i feel like we are getting somewhere. acknowledging her actual feelings about burke leaving and her relationship with hahn was so freakin AWESOME and i'm so happy she did. now i feel like something can happen for her.
• SLOAN/BAILEY. first of all, bailey was lookin' damn fine in this episode. did she get her hair did? i was like whoa. her defense of sloan was so accurate and funny that i couldn't help combine them for this commentary. this man is a whore. and then when sloan and derek were talking in the elevator.. so good. my favorite sloan moment was "bailey. bailey's baby." when opening up the on call room door naked.
• MEREDITH. how is it that meredith can be so assertive with her therapist but absolutely flounders when in a real life situation with derek? when they were sitting on that bed and derek was talking about the champagne, that was the first time ever in the history of this show that i wanted them to work things out. i have no idea where it came from, but i was like GO FOR IT!!!!!! and then it didn't happen. figures.
• karev forgetting he slept with grey jr. - so funny. karev and his baby mama drama - kind of annoying. i admire that this issue is making karev more receptive and aware of children, but damn dude i do not know WHAT is going to happen when he finds out that is a phantom baby. also hilarious when he called george the sex police.
• ADELE. eeeew i can't stand her. i don't want her and the chief to get back together because she is so fucking annoying to me. i just want to punch her in the face at all times. when they were having sex at the episode i think my stomach actually turned when she was talking about how things hadn't changed. gross.
• HAHN/CALLIE. ok them laughing was funny, but also still makes me think that hahn is into callie and was just laughing to play it off.
• the soliders. this was like brokeback mountain all over again for me. i couldn't concentrate on it too much because it would have been really emotionally upsetting to me for reasons beyond just them not being able to be together and the one guy dying. it just made me so angry about situations like that, and don't ask don't tell, and people not acknowledging relationships like that as real and legitimate. i loved when meredith was like "it's the whole part" because that shit is so true. and i also kind of loved the end when the dad seemed to be like 'i am looking at you like your love is real.'
• derek, izzie, etc. - get it together !!!!
