the friend issue
there are a lot of lonely people in the world that are afraid of their own company. being a loner is looked upon as, oh, she doesn't have any friends. but what is the point? i am a cynical cynical person and about 98% of the population annoys the fuck out of me. i gave the whole lets have a ton of friends thing a go in LA and its just not for me. i have the core group, the family of friends that have been there forever and have never done me wrong. i have the real family that is are my best friends and the cousins that i couldnt live without. i have the best friend/brother that is forever all over the country that i can never keep tabs on but whom i can have 3 hour phone conversations and never get bored. he is just like me, cynical and easily annoyed. i have the husband that is lifes best friend and honestly, there is no one i would really rather spend time with.
i just see all these people that post pictures about my best friend this and my best friend that, and thats cool, but most of these people dont' know who they themselves are. they haven't spent enough time with just themselves to figure that out and they think they know who they are as reflected by their peers.
would you take a bullet for that person? i love all my friends, but there is truelly only one i would give my life for, and him for me.
