So a 7yr old kid doesn't want to go to church, so he steals the family car and drives for a few miles. Cops notice a person driving unsafely on the road, weaving back and forth, into oncoming traffic lanes...try to pull the person over. They don't pull over...
To the Cops surprise the car pulls into a drive way, stops, the door opens and a SMALL CHILD RUNS OUT AND INTO The HOUSE ADJOINING THE DRIVEWAY!!! @_@ @_@ @_@
Ok so I had seen this on the news the other day, and was like OMG! Because of course the Cops got the whole fucking chase/kid stopping/running on tape.
Well turn on the Today show this morning and the whole family is on with Meridith Viera and the whole the the family is LAUGHING! They think it's HILARIOUS their 7 YEAR OLD STOLE THE CAR AND DROVE ERRATICALLY FOR MILES EVADING POLICE! ALL TO AVOID CHIURCH! And do you know what his punishment was? NO TV/VIDEOGAMES FOR "A few days." A few means three right? So for THREE DAYS? WHATTTTT?
And Meridith the whole time is like "This isn't a laughing matter, this is very serious," and the Dad is like "Well we kept laughing for a few days thinking 'this is quite funny it didn't turn out another way'" in other words ITS FUNNY THE LITTLE SHIT DIDN'T KILL ANYONE!!!
WHAT THE FUCK PEOPLE? Meridith tells them like 3-4 times this isn't a laughing matter! When she asks what his punishment was and if the little boy thought he deserved it he looks only slightly ashamed!!! Like, only 3 fucking days of no TV OH BIG PUNISHMENT!
His sister then comments that it's funny he knew how to drive a car. The whole family is slightly snickering!!!
Um. The Police said the kid was too young to press charges, which means they tried to, but couldn't.
Well fuck. With dumbass parents like that I wish they could press charges. Or take the kid to a real jail (not juvie) and stick him in a cell because this kid learned nothing. The family thinks it's hilarious, and quite frankly he was driving so well for a 7yr old that has never learned to drive that it makes me wonder if his parents really haven't let him drive before...
