It was an act not entirely unlike dancing. It had rhythm, tempo and an increasingly complicated set of movements required of each of its two (or more) participants.

Like dancing, it was also remarkably rewarding if approached with the proper attitude.

With a stretch of her arms and a polite yawn, Ulala placed down the curved, white antique plastic controller and smiled as tiny blue birds complete with goldfish bowl fashion space helmets alighted upon the branches of the tree outside.

The younger girl sitting beside her pouted darkly and kept hammering at the buttons.

"This is a stupid game," she scowled. "The only reason you're winning is because you're probably old enough to remember it!"

Ulala let the insult slid off her with a knowing smile.

"I'd totally beat you if this was duelling guitars." The younger girl continued.

Ulala continued smile, taking a moment to look around the surroundings of the cosy little room located deep within the one of the station's seven complex biospheres.

"How come we never play duelling guitars anymore?" The young girl said and then paused, smirking and added: "It's because I'm better than you, isn't it? You're probably too old now or something."

Ulala sighed, turned to face the younger girl across the narrow divide of bedcover between them and gently took hold of her.

The younger girl opened her mouth to further disclaim the unfairness of the situation. Ulala leant forwards and gently silenced her protests with a kiss.
