The past couple of years have been unkind to my body. I figured that for every time I have moved since I turned 19 I have gained 10 pounds per move, 50 pounds in total. That is so much. Now peaking at 180 pounds, it is starting to really get to me. The first 20 pounds bothered me, but not enough because I still fit into my clothes. Not comfortably, but squeezed into them at least. I went to the gym off and on and kinda kept my weight at bay. Once I started working at Best Buy my physical activity dropped off greatly. I looked at my picture on my profile here and barely recognize that person. I have tried a lot of things from starving myself to eating healthy but nothing has worked out. I'll start working out and then I'll stop. I'll start a diet and do really well for a month, then something happens like a trip or a Birthday and it all goes out the window. So here I am. Less than 48 hour from my 24th birthday and I'm the biggest I have ever been. Depressing. Stretch marks all over the place and I can't even wear a bra comfortably. Pretty pathetic. I can ask myself why I let myself get this way but I know the answer. It has always been the same thing since I was in high school. Okay, I'll admit it. I was a trophy girlfriend in high school. Weighing in at 125 pounds, slim waist and not a bitch. My esteem was so low that I thought if I was any heavier my boyfriend would dump me. Granted my boyfriend at the time turned out to be a complete loser and an idiot to boot, but that was how I felt. Lets fast forward six years. I'm happily married to an amazing person who not only cares but is extremely patient and considerate of me. My boobs are three times the size they were in high school and my butt has a gravitational pull on it's own. Now I could spend hours on things I don't like about myself but that will not do me and good. So this is me making a commitment to myself that I WILL stick with. I am tired of being over weight. I am scared of dying young and I do not want to have the diabetes. I want to be healthy and look good. I do not want to shy away from the beach because I am not comfortable with my body. My successes are mine and my failures are mine. No longer will I depend on others for my success or failure. I have tons of clothes that are wasting away because I can not fit into them. The really scary thing, I will get bigger and bigger unless I do something about it.
So aspirations and goals. NO FAST FOOD. I just can't any more. Nothing is just going to magically melt of. That sucks but who am I kidding. So I'm going to take supplements but that is all they are. SUPPLEMENTS, NOT MAGIC 50 POUNDS LIGHTER TOMORROW PILLS. This week is a "getting used to it" week. I do not want to shock my body anymore so I'm trying to ease into this diet. I don't think my body could handle shocking anymore. So this weeks supplement goals are one (1) Lean System 7 half an hour (30 minutes) before meals or exercise, do not exceed 3 pills a day, and two (2) multi vitamins before bed. Time to get active and get that body moving. Starting with some light exercise to get my body used to exercising again. I used to run forever but that was so long ago. Start walking with ankle weights, kettle weight and resistant band moves, or two (2) sets of yoga three times a week, easy days would be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Exercise sessions will be recorded in this journal. If exercise more than three days that is great but not necessary. Now food. Breakfast is to consist of no more than 200 calories, couple of pieces of fruit or weight control oatmeal is best. Lunch and Dinner are to be no more than 400 calories, Progresso soups, Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones. Two (2) snacks a day are allowed at 100 calories a piece. This totals for a daily value of twelve hundred (1200) calories a day. Little black notebook or phone notebook will be used to record food intake everyday later to be recorded in journal everyday. Journal entries are to include mood, personal struggles, problems and overall being. So my goals. Lose one pound a week that is kept off by Robert's 25th birthday so I can wear the school girl outfit that he loves so much for his present.
LET'S DO THIS!!!!
