Didn't know the rain could be that much fun

The rain was hitting us pretty hard, but somehow I didn't seem to notice or care at the moment. Faith always knows what I want and she knows how to get me just perfectly. It's not just her being a Slayer, I'm sure it's her being Faith too. That's what I love about her so much. Well one of the many things, but ok let's not get too much on the mushy here. Rain pelting I said.

Not to mention, kind of with the sorta nakedness here.

I saw the rain beading off of Faith's hair onto to her chest and oh Goddess, I probably could've taken her right then and there and she wouldn't have complained but I was starting to feel a little cold and as much as I hated to say this, we had work to figure out what was up with the Hadleys.

I turned my head back to Faith and gave her a quick kiss. "Come on rainy day girl, we have to go and figure out what's up with our hosts with the mostess."

She gave me one of those looks in return of aww do we have to? "Can't we just sit out here and enjoy the rain? I am not getting back in that torture device."

I could feel a sneeze coming on. "Not unless you want your girl to get pneumonia."

She rolled her eyes playfully at me. "Yeah but don't tell me that wasn't worth it."

I blushed. "Ok maybe a little and unless you plan on walking in naked to the house.." I stopped myself knowing Faith would easily do it and not give it a second thought. I gathered up my dress and realized it was completely sopping and dirty and how we were going to explain this to the Hadleys. I started to think of ideas. "We have to try to get back into these things."

"Whatever, I don't care if they see me naked. Not like they ain't seen a naked girl before. Look way I see is that that the wifey pretty much puts out anyway so I bet her husband totally doesn't care. 'Sides it's raining pretty hard, I bet they don't even notice us come in."

I blinked. "Faith we can't just walk back there naked."

She popped up arching her brows at me. "We can. And I am. I got nothing to be ashamed of."

I sighed and I knew when Faith's mind was made up there was no use in changing it. "Ok well, at least let me try to cover for you or something."

She put her hand on my shoulder. "Whatever works Red, I don't care."

I managed to somehow slip into the dress. It was sopping wet. We walked back slowly and sure enough the house looked pretty quiet as we approached the front porch. "See Will, told you no one's gonna care," Faith smiled at me completely buck naked.

I sighed. "Not yet," I whispered. "Go around to the back, I'm sure there's a side entrance and it's probably unlocked."

She shrugged. "Ok whatever..I'll see ya up there." She went around to the back.

I knocked on the door and Frederick answered. "My word Willow, you're completely soaked. And your dress, how did that happen, and where is your cousin, Faith?"

I tried to think quickly. "Oh, well you know we were walking around the yard a little and got caught up in the rain. Tried to run back and slipped a little. You know how it can be, running in these big dresses. Faith must've gotten here before I did." I was hoping he would buy this. I fidgeted slightly kind of looking at my feet.

"I didn't see her come in but perhaps the other servants did. Perhaps I should go and look?" He went to turn his head and then I saw Faith kind of sneaking behind him trying to get up the stairs. She gave me a wink.

I shot my eyes wide and grabbed his arm. "Oh no, that's alright. Faith's pretty resourceful. You know she's completely very on her own sort of thing, you know. She's fine, I'm sure!"

I motioned with my eyes for Faith to hurry. She creeped up the stairs and was safely out of distance.

"Are you sure?" Frederick turned back at me and put his hand on my shoulder. "At least let me get you some dry clothes. I'll have the others bring them up for you."

"Thank you sir," I smiled. He finally walked away and I went upstairs and opened the bedroom door. Faith was on the bed naked grinning toothily at me. "Nice job Scarlet O'Hara with Jeeves."

"That's so not funny, what if the Hadleys had caught you!" I folded my arms.

"Then I guess they would've gotten a show. Chill Red, I got up here no one saw me."

I heard a knock on the door and it was the servants with the other clothes. Great, more dresses, but a nice long nightshirt. I thanked the lady and I shut the door, sliding out of the wet dress again and putting on the long nightshirt. "Ok ok ok, well maybe we should just go off to sleep and try to figure out what's going on in the morning."

Again with the shrugged shoulders. "Fine by me. I'm not the research queen anyway."

I slid into bed and I sneezed. "No but you're still my sexy rainy naked girlfriend." I gave her a smirk.

We actually snuggled in close. I felt Faith drift off to sleep. I couldn't get my mind to relax. I knew that we had things to take care of here. Faith was right with the vibes and I kind of got them too not that I thought about. Or maybe I was just being paranoid. Either way maybe I could figure some things out now in the quietness.

I slid out of bed so I wouldn't disturb Faith and slipped out of the bedroom. I went down the stairs and back into the library. I went over the things again. Slave traders, the civil war. It all seemed to be adding up. But that's just history, I thought. I shut the book frustrated, but also feeling kind of relieved. Or so I thought. That's when I began to hear some strange noises outside of the library. Kind of whispers.

"Save uuuuuuuuuussssss," I heard coming from the hallway with the paintings.

I swallowed and walked towards the paintings. "Hello? Is anyone here?" I said quietly.

"Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaveeee ussssssssss," and then a little African American boy appeared before me. "Help meeeee!" and then he faded away into the wall.

I blinked. This was so getting way too Sixth Sense for me! Did I mention the creepy part about the ghost?

This was reminding me almost of that creepy house back at UCSD with the kids who were poltergeists from that crazy lady.

I went to touch the wall and I closed my eyes. I could hear screams and moans. I pulled my hand away. The ghosts were trapped in the house. That's when it hit me. The Hadleys somehow managed to keep them away!

I ran upstairs as fast as I could. I had to tell Faith. I felt someone watching me though. I turned around the feeling went away. Maybe the Hadleys were!
