i know, i said i'd try to come back with something more interesting to post... but is it my fault, if kubo keeps giving me so much awesomeness? xDDD

so, did you guys watch the oscars? i'm usually an avid watcher, though i have to admit that i didn't expect this ceremony to be all that great (i didn't watch any of the movies that were nominated this year, really... and i may have been feeling a little resentment at the AMPAS that the dark night didn't get much love). but still, i thought it was a great show. very entertaining-- hugh jackman certainly did his thing-- and very heartfelt. better than last year's, that's for sure.
i'm very glad that heath ledger won for supporting actor (he absolutely deserved it), that kate winslet won for best actress (it was about time), and i'm very happy that brad pitt DIDN'T win for best actor (heh, i just can't stand him). and the morale of the story is: i HAVE GOT to get a hold of slumdog millionaire. i just have to. *downloading as she types*
