182 aka the ridiculously long post about nothing

me veras volar por la ciudad de la furia,
donde nadie sabe de mi, y yo soy parte de todos.
con la luz del sol se derriten mis alas;

estaban tocando "la ciudad de la furia" cuando tomamos las fotos =3 ok, so mi hermano pago 400 dolares por el celular y la idiota camara no sabe lo que es el zoom ¬_¬ pero no importa, porque yo los vi clariiiiito ;) yay yay YAY! ^.^ gosh, tengo que comprarme un sweater de ese concierto... *goes off to ebay* si alguien quiere detalles, preguntenme en un comment y les digo-- ahorita mismo estoy demasiado YAY para ponerme a describir correctamente ^^;;;

apart from that, take a look at this. *swoons* oh my god, that smirk. that SMIRK! i swear, every time jonas smiles, i melt. i just MELT. there, little puddles of carla on the floor. it's so completely unfair... *shakes head* that man is too gorgeous for my health.

house & wilson FTW. and oh my gosh, robin/much is SO my newest crack pairing ;)

i have a fic rec! i went diving into the gundam wing fandom, as i'm watching the series all over again, and i found a really good fic. it's called sainan no kekka (or tragedy's consequence) by gerald tarrant & quicksilver. it's a HUGE, but high quality, AU/continuation gundam wing fic. it basically begins after the main GW arc is done, right after treize's death, and continues on with the aftermath of the war, not taking endless waltz into account. while most of the ficcage out there focuses on the pilots and their feelings, this one does a great job of that, also adding the rest of the main cast into the mix, with some OCs (and not the overwhelming mary-sue or gary-stu type of OC either) thrown in for good measure and character development, WHILE spinning a pretty tight and well-thought plot dealing with politics and military, war and peace, much in the same vein as the original series did. non-yaoi, as far as i know... not much romance of any kind, actually... but it is honestly one of the best GW fics i've ever read. there are some interactions that had me going WHUT for a moment there (dorothy and zechs? seriously?) but all in the spirit of character development and nothing unbearable. and the plot twists... oh, they'll have you choking on your own tongue. i can guarantee that.

i actually wasn't going to rec this until i was done reading it (which will be, i'm sure, sometime next year-- the bloody thing is 13 acts long! with an average 14 scenes per act! it took them SIX YEARS to write it! my GOD, talk about devotion...), but then i saw that somewhere in act, uh, three? they used a nine days song as a scene header. and that is, indeed, how a person knows he/she is in the presence of greatness ;) [[edit, sometime later: in act 10, they use an our lady peace song as a scene header. OMG double greatness. this is the best fanfic ever! xDDD]] so i decided i HAD to rec it. i'm about halfway through act 9 right now [[edit: starting 11 now!]], and it's gotten pretty good and exciting. if it were a book, i'm sure i wouldn't be able to put it down. and then THIS came about:

----------

Wufei was covering his hands with his eyes, muttering "I do NOT see dead people...I do NOT see dead people..."

Shinobu kicked Wufei in the shins and he howled, toppling over. Treize pulled an odd looking weapon from his belt and pointed it at Wufei. The Chinese pilot looked up.

"What the HELL is that?"

Grinning wickedly, Treize ignited his lightsaber. "Wufei, I am your father!"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Wufei screamed.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Darkflight screamed. "That means you're related to ME TOO!" (Darkflight had suddenly acquired the ability to teleport instantly between locations)

*dies* xDDDDDDDDDDDDD

no, it isn't a humorous fic. this is just the authors' GENIUS april fools' joke. still, i laughed so hard, i had to put this in somewhere xDDD

*blinks* i really must write something for gundam someday...

in other news, cartoon network had a bit of a saint seiya marathon this saturday. they aired the hades ovas... up to number 5 or 6, i think it was? i was very excited about it. reminded me i have yet to watch the whole thing (what an awful otaku i am ;_;). but OH MY GOD, the voices. they killed me. i died. several times over. those voices were the most HORRID thing i've ever heard...! why couldn't they just stick to the originals for everybody? seiya's new voice was entirely too deep; i know he's grown but he isn't supposed to sound all mature, really. ikki sounded too young (maybe they should've used ikki's voice for seiya and seiya's for ikki!). aioria's voice was just... WRONG. he sounded like he was 60. and GOSH, shaka's voice sounded like he had a frog stuck in his throat. it was sooooo awful. *shakes head* see, this is why manga rules. *rolls eyes*

other than that, it pretty much sticks to the spirit of the original anime, doesn't it? hyouga... cried for his mommy. shun... cried, period. seiya... cried for athena. shiryu... was blind. ikki... was a jerk. milo kicked butt, though-- now i remember that i always loved the scarlet needle, it was basically my favorite attack ever, it's so cool. i totally made a face when hyouga flashbacked to camus teaching him; i may not like them changing stuff from the manga, but if you're going to do it, at least stick to it. it feels weird, considering in the anime it was crystal who trained him. and oh, that stuff about saga and kanon actually loving each other? i don't buy it. i never will. and ooohhhhh, i remembered why i hate saori so much. ugh, i can't stand that woman. *shakes head*

i also finished a big update on kNET. not really a revamp, per se, but something like that. first, i trimmed my color bars page a bit; there were too many broken images/links in there, so i took a bunch of them out. it's still huge, but not AS huge. i also added a few more stamps to my stamps page, as well as joining a couple more stamping communities for some of my new fandoms. i finally got off my ass and added three skins to the main kNET page, all recycled from GAW, that i've been saying i'd put up at kNET for ages. i also switched all my google ads with bidvertiser ads, because BV is easier to use and more profitable anyway-- so if you ever visit one of my pages, please click on the ads once in a while... remember i'm unemployed and need the cash ;) and lastly, i trimmed my quotes list. you would not BELIEVE the insane amount of spam that script gets in such a little time! i actually had to back up the the mySQL table, then take out all the spam offline, delete the table and import it again. there was THAT MUCH spam. looking back, i should've taken the "add a quote" page out a LONG time ago, since that form was where the spam came from... it was stupid of me not to do that earlier; it's not like anyone sent in quotes anyway. still, i've deleted it now and hope to have the spam problem gone for good.

this week i plan on adding a few more pages/fandoms to my fic recs, and also add more couples to my OTP banners page, since my newest fandoms are missing. guess i have my work cut out for me.

and in order to make this post not an "extra," on sunday i actually sat down and made my outline for ARIP a little better. i previously had it in a notepad file, so it was very simple, but now i copied it to a word file and made it prettier with colors and bullets and stuff =3 it makes a lot more sense now. i jotted a few more ideas down, mainly h/hr post-r/hr-breakup stuff, but i'm still stuck on the third chapter. everytime i try and write the second scene, i convince myself that it'll come out completely insipid, and desist. *sigh* hopefully SOME idea will pop into my brain soon so i can spruce it up.

i also wrote a bit for the first chapter of my sequel to in too deep. it's basically the main murder, or, well, the death part of it at least. this isn't the whole scene, just a couple of paragraphs of it, which is why there's some stuff that may seem out of context. and don't even get excited that i'm going to write the whole fic out soon-- i don't quite know how to continue this scene and there's still giant plot holes that i haven't figured out how to eliminate; so don't expect the fic to be out tomorrow or anything. anyway, the working title is "third strike," which might give you an idea of what it's about...

The knocking and rasping against her door grew more insistent, and she decided she didn't. She had to do something. She wouldn't let anyone hurt her kids.

She grabbed hold of a baseball bat her son had left by the base of the stairs, and quietly moved towards the front door, her grip on the handle tightening with each step. She wasn't stupid enough to just open the door and swing-- that would be suicide-- but in her fear she couldn't help but inch closer to the window, to see who it was.

Looking back, she should've locked herself and the kids in one room, and called 911 immediately.

She screamed her head off.

There was a man, tall and thick, barely leaning halfway against her window and the door, scratching at the latter. He looked ragged enough that he could've crawled his way to her porch. His face was pale, almost green, his eyes wide and unfocused, his mouth slightly open in a shaky gasp, with drool coming out of it. It flowed down his jaw and to his neck, where it met with the blood that was covering the collar of his t-shirt. There was something, a stick of some sort, coming out of his neck in a grotesque imitation of a stab wound.
