Myoujin Yahiko was angry.

And while that was nothing new (the kid never had the sweetest disposition), he definitely thought such a situation could've been avoided this time if this idiot girl wasn't being such a jerk. He'd heard of bullying, but this was ridiculous. And their supposed "Supervisor" was so pussy-whipped; he had the hots for her and that's why he wasn't coming to his rescue. What a bummer. He'd thought the guy was cool at first, but now he felt disappointed. And he might've felt a little less irate if all of the other people hadn't been there to witness the argument.

"I said I want to FIGHT!" he exclaimed, making a dive for the bokken that Kaoru girl was holding in front of him, just out of his reach. She, stupid little bitch that she was, of course swung it out of the way so he only grasped air. Some of the members of the club, who were all surrounding them as all of this happened, barely managed to stifle their laughter. Yahiko glared daggers at them and their amusement promptly withered away.

"And I SAID!" Kaoru looked down at him with smoke coming out of her ears, "That you CAN'T! It's only your first day and you have to learn the basic warm-up techniques before you can even start to think about using a bokken, Ya-hi-ko-CHAN!" she emphasized the "chan" and it only made Yahiko even angrier.

"And who died and made you queen, busu?!" he growled at her, starting to take the longest strides he could take towards the young Kenjutsu Team Captain. He wanted to strangle her! What he didn't notice, in his rage, was that Kenshin, who was now standing behind him, unnoticeably pulled him back by the neck of his gi. The Counselor only wanted to avoid confrontations. Yahiko continued walking, though, even if he didn't realize he wasn't actually moving forward.

"I don't have to take orders fro you! I'm descended from a line of famous Tokyo Samurais! I don't need any warm-up! And why are YOU the Captain anyway, it's not like you're any good! When you were supposed to be saving me you just stood there gaping like a goldfish! Kenshin's the one who saved me! He's the master swordsman! I want Kenshin to teach me," he finished his tirade haughtily crossing his arms and looking up at the girl with a defiant expression.

All those who were present in the training hall took a few steps (more like a few meters) back. Kenshin actually stopped breathing for a while there. Kaoru was a nice enough girl, but she was a nice girl you did NOT want to anger. Yahiko was dead. Done for. Bye-bye. So long. Sayonara. See ya in the beyond.

To everybody's surprise, though, the killing blow never came. Kaoru only raised her hand to her face and sighed. And in the midst of the confusion this action created ("IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!" was heard clearly among those who had never heard Kaoru not react to an insult), she frowned and held the bokken towards the spoiled kid. "You want to fight? Fine. Take this, you're going to need it." Yahiko was surprised to see her relent so easily, but grabbed the wooden sword anyway. Kenshin let go of his gi, also curious about the whole thing.

Kaoru looked around and went to stand a good distance away from the kid. Then she turned to look at him with a determined expression. "Well then. Come at me. If you win, I'll let Kenshin teach you." Yahiko's eyebrows rose. Normally he would've retorted something skeptical, but she didn't seem to be bluffing. So with a nod, he gripped the bokken tightly and got ready to attack.

...aaaannndddd that's as far as i got before the action scene disease got me again. i can't remember much of that episode (3? i think it was ep 3), and i need a judo move that's NOT using the opponent's weight to throw him/her over your shoulder. kaoru already did that. see? if i practiced martial arts, i'd be a better writer >.< nyah.
