babe ruth's curse LIVES, babeh ^.^
*sings* who loves mariano? i do, i do... and to think he was here in panama attending a funeral barely five hours before the start of the game! he arrived at the yankee stadium like halfway through and everybody greeted him like he was their hero, and people applauded him so much! he's the pride of my nation, i tell you. we should give him like every medal we have, and the keys to the city, and name a baseball stadium after him and all that stuff. he's just the greatest.
and i also love the MOOSE! six and a half innings of a perfect game is no small feat. and matsui-sama, who's a baseball machine. and of course my dear bernie who's just so sweet and always does his thing when he's needed. and mr. jeter because everytime someone gave a big hit or a homerun, he springs up from the dogout and is outside hollering his appreciation in half a second, he's such a great captain, he is ^-^ i love my yankees. i hope they keep up like this and don't make me change my mind about them by the end of the week ¬_¬
what happened to mariano's relatives sucked. and in his own house, too. and the reporters kept harassing him the whole time he was here: "mariano, what's going to happen to the yankees if you can't play?" "what do you expect from this ACLS?" "do you think they'll put you in if you don't have enough time to warm up when you get there?" WTF? the guy is MOURNING dammit, don't these people know the meaning of the world RESPECT?? he was there for his family and he refused to talk about baseball and that's perfectly understandable. yet, he's a professional, and then he went back and did his job. that's all there is to the story.
matsui's so cool. he's very stoic (japanese, after all), he doesn't show his emotions even when he does something great, but this time he was pretty enthusiastic. when he got to second base his translator-coach-person said something to him, and then everybody started congratulated him and he just said "thank you." betcha it's like the only phrase he knows in english ^^;;; he seemed to understand his teammates' congratulations pretty easily, though. DUH!
the moose is just plain awesome. he was always my favorite out of all the yankee pitchers ('cept maybe mariano, of course). kurt schilling looked... not good at all. was he hurt? i think i heard the commentators saying something about him and injections, but i'm not sure. for being one of the best pitchers ever, this was definitely not his day. mussina outshined him completely. HAH! that's what you get for beating the yanks in 2001! *kicks and screams* i still stick to my belief that it was actually randy johnson and not schilling the one who made the difference for the diamondbacks. damn, that guy scares me to death. he's scary and he's damn good. anyway. whatever. back to the yanks...
the yankees won!!! ^_____________________________^ hopefully they'll continue doing good. i don't like to admit it but the red sox make me very nervous.
now, someone please read
THIS and then come back and tell me i'm not dreaming. and then pinch me because i still won't believe it. surely there is something wrong with my eyes. it can't be true that two (not one, TWO) people are actually comparing my lousy, sucky little fic to the work of art that is PoU. nop, i'm hallucinating, i'm quite sure of it.
not working on any fics for the past week-- my muse seems to be taking a vacation in tahiti. and there's so much work to do in the lab that i have no time for writing anyway. but, i'm thinking and organizing what i want to do as soon as i get my inspiration back:
-write an inuyasha fic. it will probably be a lot like
tales from the counseling office, but perhaps set in a college environment. i don't know. but i know i want to write something light, funny and WaFFy.
-work in the next chapters of
orbe and
somnium. perhaps i'll get the next chapter of both before i leave for tallahassee. i don't want to keep my readers suffering anymore ;_;
-get
all's right,
tritatos and
tu primero out of hiatus before HBP comes out.
-finish chapter 5 of
UP right NOW!! *pulls muse back from tahiti* ARGH! *bangs head against keyboard in desperation*
edit @ 1103 hrs of the next day-- i forgot to say that i also want to start translating somnium to english soon. it's stuck in my head that it will be 100x better in english than in spanish.
edit again @ 1301 hrs of the next day-- oh, and also i finally remembered what i wanted to write for the fourth part of
tritatos: it's going to be called "10 things i hate about hermione" (not that *i* hate, but that *ron* hates). the third one, that was already planned, is going to be called "everything ronald is not", and of course the second one is called "chicken pox" and it's already half-written.
edit yet again @ 1508 hrs of the next day-- and i forgot to add that i want to continue the aforementioned
tales from the counseling office. the second chapter has been sitting in my rkenshin folder for like more than half a year. gah.
seldon, i did notice the jessie thing in reality, but in your fic it worked because when you read it all in one sitting, it makes the story move faster-- less detail to hassle the reader. but mine's chaptered, so i couldn't do that ^^;;; i had to draw parallels to dylan against my will, i felt like i was repeating myself too much. as i said, when we get to the hermione part, the element of surprise is just gone =/ but it had to be that way.
BTW, everyone, i'm amazed at the amount of feedback i'm getting for this chapter-- well, not really the amount, but the quality of the feedback i'm getting. right now i've heard everything... people e-mail me or leave reviews with all kinds of theories about what's happening and that makes me feel great =^_^= you really like my fic! unbelievable! and some of these theories are really close to the real deal. i'm still waiting for someone to come up and tell me neo will fix the rift between the two universes-- and you don't know how accurate that can be if you really think about it! (oops, am i saying too much?)
edit @ 1304 hrs of the next day-- you know what the coolest thing in the world is? mercury. not that i'm inhaling it or anything but i've been moving reagents around the lab the whole week and i'm just amazed by mercury. it's like liquid silver, so brilliant and soft-looking... you'd think it's light, but it's actually very heavy. and it has a lot of superficial tension, so it doesn't stick to the walls of the container and it always looks roundish. damn, if only it weren't poisonous.
i just noticed that this entry is written entirely in english... ¬¬?
USTEDES PUEDEN, YANKEES! ^.^
so there.
