Deep breath... and exhale.

Now that my life isn't going at five-hundred miles a minute, let's re-cap, shall we?

The wedding:
It was an overcast day, but the sun was bright behind all the clouds. No rain, gentle breeze. The DJ was great, my coordinators were amazing, my photographers were fantastic... The day was everything I hoped it would be: a beach party with my friends and family.

Everyone realized they were sun-burned when they got home that evening. Including me. Whoops.

That evening, we drove to the Hyatt, me in my wedding dress, him in his Navy dress whites. There we were, sauntering through the lobby in our wedding outfits, trying not to steal the thunder of another bride, whose wedding was taking place at the hotel. But it paid off, checking in with my wedding dress on; the guy at the front office upgraded us to a corner suite, with views of the bay. We arrived at our hotel, undressed, and passed out on the bed for about three hours.

I only had two hours of sleep the night before.

Finally awake, we walked into downtown for brazilian barbecue. Yes, there was a Pacquiao fight, but we already knew who was winning...

The honeymoon:
We drove up to Anaheim and checked in to our hotel. Now, normally, I wouldn't stay at the Grand Californian, but Ricky's suggestions was "It's our wedding. AND my birthday. Go big or go home." That, and we couldn't walk away from a military discount. So, there we were, watching as valet drove our car away to be parked.

The very kind cast member told us that the room reservation was based on first available, which was a 1 queen, 1 bunk bed, poolside. "However, if you are willing to wait until this afternoon, I can put you in a 2 queen with a park view, no extra charge." Well, that was a no-brainer. We killed time in the park, and by 1pm, Ricky received a text message that our room was ready.

We spent three fantastic days in Disneyland.

The move:
Moving halfway across the country was an adventure on its own. With all of our possessions in the trunk, we made our way through flat lands across the desert. You know what makes the ride extra boring? When the land is so flat, the sky and asphalt start merging into one blur. You know what makes the ride extra uncomfortable? When the air conditioner decides to stop being cold.

Three days later, we arrived at our destination, and we have spent a flurry of money on furniture, electronics, appliances and other living necessities. We have used our gift cards and checks to their maximum potential, buying and replacing some things.

We've been here for one week, and we don't even have all our furniture yet (delivery is scheduled for tomorrow). It's hot here, the place is a mess, we're on our own, but finally, we're not separated. Which what was the frickin' point to all of it.
