Hello, friends! Here's what I've been doing for the past few days. Images are under the cut.
Thursday, Dec. 20: My Not Anymore Non-Date with a Friend
After my Chemistry final, I wanted to throw myself off the building. But then, if that happened, I wouldn't have been able to see my friend.
I spent a lovely evening with my dear, dear friend Ricky.
Because we're Asian like that. Kinda.
Left: He'll have the spicy chicken with the spicy on the side.
Right: And I'll have the sushi roll that didn't seem spicy when I read the menu description.
That's my sexy face.
He told me of his happenings in his life, while I tried my best not to cry. After everything that was going on, I felt so selfish and guilty. I guess I couldn't help it.
So, our date (yes date. Why "date"? Because it was dinner and a movie, involved with not dressing in frumpy clothes) consisted of the I ♥ Teriyaki restaurant (yes, it's actually "I Heart Teriyaki"), I Am Legend (because Ricky has a man-crush on Will Smith, don't even deny it) and a hotel room driving very slow in order to capitalize on our time together. And driving by his old house. And trying to find houses with festive lights. And trying to point out constellations and failing at it.
What, you really didn't believe me, did you Eric? See what happens when you try to set me up with your friend? I tell him and then we gang up on you ♥.

Friday, Dec. 21: Going to San Diego
Flew in early. Caught up on all the sleep that I missed this semester. It was le awesome.

Saturday, Dec. 22: VGO Christmas Party
Left: My sisters while everyone was congregated in front of Rockband.
Right: Like so. Apparently, Craig (center) is "too black" to be in a rockband. Whatever that means.
Left: About 40+ video games for the PSP, XBOX, PS2, and the Wii all wrapped up and random, given away to our guests. Typical VGO party. BTW, the red wrapping is Pirates of the Caribbean, complete with "Yo ho Christmas" written on the paper. $2.99 at Wal-mart. You know you want it. Rhyne, move your foot ^_^!
Right: (courtesy of
geekmode) And here is Mr. Super Expert on Rockband, who loves one of his random gifts Kitchen Princess.
And here's what happpens when we put a normally chill guy on Rockband when he's completely drunk!

Sunday, Dec. 23: Cookies with Ate RC
Girls day (plus her son Jason) at her house, making cookies. First, we made no-bake chocolate kitchen sink (pretzels, almonds, melted chocolate... basically crumble into little bits whatever you want. Thus "kitchen sink"), thumbprint apricot cookies and chocolate cookies with butterscotch (aka "Nipple cookies").
Then, we had a mass of sugar cookies to decorate. I tried to make a sugar cookie of Aang, but I kinda failed. So we started making non-holiday theme cookies, like instead of a stocking, my cousin Tena made a sock puppet. Instead of a gingerbread man, Nikko made a "gay pop star". And then we started making storylines to tie all the cookies together. We're strange, yes we are.
And speaking Jason, here's my cute nephew in action.
In case you didn't hear it, Jason told his father "You're so cute!" while Luan's response is just priceless: "There's too much estrogen involved here, I have to-- let's watch the game."
