Because this dead horse hasn't been beaten enough.
The green purse on the right is a size I can have.
The plaid purse on the left is the one I was told I could not have.
See why I am baffled? There isn't a huge difference. And my reason for wanting a slightly larger purse, I feel, is legit enough to warrant an exception. If I were bringing a larger purse or a backpack or tote or something, I could see disallowing it. The Coach back that Rob let's one of his employees keep in the kitchen is four times the size of the plaid purse.

BM frustrated me all day. At one point, I am sure she realized it, as I walked away from her mid-dialogue and said, "never mind, I am keeping my mouth shut".
A short time later, I was running around the bakery taking care of task after task that kept popping up, filling holes, helping customers and decorating cakes. BM walked out of the freezer as I was pulling product off the load she was putting away and dating it.
"I appreciate you," she said suddenly.
I stopped and stared. She was watching me intently.
"What."
"I really appreciate you. I just wanted to say."
I never get praise. I work my ass off back there, take care of more random tasks than anyone else, get tons of compliments from customers, fellow employees and other managers... but she never says anything. I was caught off guard entirely.
"Thank you," I said, realizing she might find my stunned silence offensive. "I appreciate being appreciated."
