Storm
A quickie storm blew through yesterday evening. I didn't even realize anything was amiss until we heard a loud explosion and everything collapsed into blackness. As we wandered out to see what had happened, our power came back on, but most of our neighborhood continued to linger in darkness. A transformer was sparking down the road. Talk about a lucky break. An evening without power sure would have put a damper on my pre-vacation preparations.
As we continued our packing, the wind blew our screen off the upstairs bedroom window. I wandered out in the rain to seek it out, but couldn't find it anywhere.
I still can't believe we will be leaving for Vegas in just under 24 hours. With everything going on, the trip snuck up on both of us. I also realized just yesterday that we will be in town for Cinco de Drinko. Nice!
Tomorrow will be our five year anniversary!
