At least it's an election year.
I cannot believe what John Howard said about Barack Obama. This is the last straw. I mean, he can screw us over with his IR laws, pretend that climate change isn't happening, but NOBODY messes with Obama. Nobody. At least the country seems to be united in their horror...Kevin Rudd and Steve Bracks both commented on Howard's sheer idiocy. Well, those weren't the words they used, but we all know that's what they meant. Now if only it were the end of the year already...and we could elect Rudd and FINALLY get rid of Howard.
I move to Melbourne on Saturday. I've lived in this house for as long as I can remember, and it's completely surreal packing up the last 18 years of my life. My favourite books, my posters, my little cardboard TARDIS - everything's either packed away in boxes or about to be. I'm really nervous about living at Ormond College, but I have confidence that I'll meet some really interesting and friendly people, and that the experience will ultimately be extremely rewarding. Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm not still completely petrified...about uni as well as college. But in the words of another Prime Minister of Australia, it's time. It's time to embark on this part of my life. So I need to stop worrying about it and just do it.
