I hate my skin

My skin is impractical. It has been raining on and off all day, it was one of those days when it was so over cast that you couldn't tell where in the sky the sun should be, I was out for two hours between three and five in the afternoon (admitedly at sea) and I got BURNT

Due to your not being evolved to live on a tall ship, and thus at sea, humans not being notably adapted to do so given the inherent unlikeliness of anyone attempting this throughout most of our existence.

You are perfectly well adapted to live in Northern latiudes, and adept at surviving winters. You aren't *supposed* to be sailing ships.

Girly, adept at surviving winters? *giggles* I don't think so. She lives in Bournemouth where it's positively tropical, and I can personally testify to just how cold her hands permanently are. Maybe if we zap her with ionising radiation she'll start making melanin and can move to the Med... *grins*

Actually, I burn less easily than someone as pale as me would be expected to. Though the sunburn from the Puntmoot is now peeling off nicely...

The only day that I have ever spent in Bournemouth was only tropical in the sense of having a very high rainfall.

Wow! Unusual! *remembers Girly's shock at coming to Manchester and discovering that yes, the grass really does stay green through the whole of summer that far north with that much rain*

I do have a pretty impractical heat control generally don't I! Never mind, sailing is fun, and cold hands are great for making people jump with.

Tall ship was most fun, the sun shines more than this quite a lot of the time, well on occasion. Silly skin, I think I should trade it in and get some new stuff.
