We've done a bit since my last update.
The man room is now complete with a new ceiling fan and all. Although something is wrong with the electrical in the ceiling but none the less it is up and looks pretty...lol But my friend Steve said he'd go up and take a look at it. Paint wise the man room is done and all I have to say is Victor better LOVE the packers forever! Let me just put it this way. The room is so out there that when we were painting it people would SLOW down as they drove by and would look at what we were doing. However that creeped me out so there are now temp blinds up for the meantime until we get new windows sometime this year. I'm just glad people can't see in anymore. So all the bedrooms are now painted and have their new lighting fixtures in. YAY! That means I'm half way done right? WRONG! Painting bedrooms is cake compared to what is going on in the kitchen/dining room.
This weekend we took out the dining room windows and came to find the header board was totally and completely
rotted out by termites. So not cool. So all the wood pretty much in that whole wall had to be replaced and treated for termites. So thats what we did this weekend. Yesterday after all the wood had time to dry from the chemicals we installed the new doors! They look awesome! Things are moving along. We took out the old kitchen door and today hopefully at some point we will close that up today. I paid for my tile yesterday which means it could be here as soon as today! Although it doesn't mean I'll be able to install when I get it. We still need to drywall the wall that has the new doors and where the old door was and the new arch/1/3 wall from the kitchen to dining room. After that I need to paint those walls and THEN I can install flooring! Woohoo! Its so close I can feel it.
I bought the cranberry color paint for the kitchen walls yesterday and HAD to try a little spot. Its totally a dramatic change from what was here before but I think it will work out just fine...and if it doesn't....I'll just paint again!
Well I must get back to doing something productive I suppose I'll go and paint the very last door for the master closet. The fun never ends...:)
