Camping

Hey a great time camping with kids. Brandon caught fish in James River. Small mouth Bass. let it go, though. Rained on the first night from 2am until 10am. I was tired of the rain, got dressed and took kids to see one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Natural Bridge and some incredible sights along a 5 mile trek and back. Whew, I made it and climbed my way back up 137 stairs. That was exhausting! They enjoyed it immensely. Also explored other areas of Lexington, Va. Went back to campground and went swimming and tried to fish some more. The sun was coming out, yeah! The next day was hopeful as we were going to rent inner tubes to go tubing down James River. Even though sun was out and blistering hot, the river was too rough from the previous 3 nights of rain. Brandon was very upset since he was looking forward to it. We went to haunted house where I literay laughed my way through. Guess it is a coping mechanism. I also sacrificed my youngest son, oh how good a mother am I to hide behind him all in the name of getting our asses scared to death!!!Well, my son just pointed a finger at the live actor coming from behind the shower curtain and said "Shut up" and walked away. You know they taped the whole encounter and us "tourists" bought the ten min tape for $10, on vhs no less. Have to convert it over to dvd myself.

Had to pack in a hurry, in blistering hot sun, then car wouldn't start because battery dead due to my inept attention at not turning on ignition when I had all doors opened while packing truck. At least we got a jump from the local Ranger. We had stayed at Yogi Bear National Camp Ground. Let's see, we left one day early because my youngest was getting ill.

Hope fully have some pictures posted soon.
