HI. I've figured out that having a lj is somewhat pointless. there's either a PHONE or EMAIL or AIM. *gasp* omgosh!
but anyways, mband is almost over, and for some reason i am really glad. I mean, yes, last year I had issues with marching band, but maybe i need to reconsider. Besides leaving Upper Merion, I might be able to come next year for mband. But why should I? honestly, I don't think that I should lie and say that everything will get better. Mband has been officially over since somewhere last year for me. But this year, I joined again for no apparent reason. I guess I thought that things would be different. I mean, everyone's right, WE NEED TO BE A UNIT! But if one person (and we have at least two) is not devoted or just decides not to do something that will help, it doesn't work. Winston said last year "The moment you put on that uniform, I don't care how much you hate anyone else, you put that aside and become the Upper Merion Marching Vikings." That was really reflected this year. But I mean, I guess I seriously have to pray about whether or not I want to waste my time next year and screw up my schedule by coming back to march. I don't think that things will get much better. And I should have realized that earlier. But thanks to last year's seniors who kept me in mband long enough to know that it could be fun, and that its wasn't really the people in marching band usually. And thanks to this year's seniors who told me to stay, so I could come to the conclusion that mband is not worth it to me anymore. (no sarcasm, i promise) And also, for the sake of the people who will suffer becasue next year's band will be decimal, I will honestly consider coming back, but commuting an hour might be difficult. But that's my view on mband, in case anyone cares.
