Scorpius approached slowly, sitting on the bed, next to Albus, who seemed to be reading an old edition of Quidditch Through the Ages. It was curious, really, considering Albus, unlike Scorpius, had never shown any interest in entering the team, and Scorpius couldn't help grinning.

He was caught when Albus finally put down the book.

"What are you grinning at?"

"Nothing," Scorpius replied and looked away. He could feel himself blushing under the other boy's gaze.

Albus snorted and got up from the bed, shoving the book onto Scorpius’ lap. The bedding shifted a bit at the absence of the other boy's weight on it. Scorpius sighed at the loss of Albus' warmth.

Scorpius took a deep breath, and looked up at a now shirtless Albus. He swallowed hard.

"You know, Al," he began, proud of himself for being able to speak, even when Albus turned those deep green eyes toward him, "I've always wondered why you've never tried to enter the Quidditch Team."

Albus snorted, proceeding to undo his fly.

"Are you afraid of defying your Gryffindor brother? I would never-" He was cut short by Albus suddenly tugging at the collar of his shirt. He hadn't had the time to register as the other boy approached the bed.

"Finish it." Albus dared.

"I would never think such a thing of you."

"My Gryffindor brother has nothing to do with me not being on the team. I would happily defy him any time," Albus sneered. "Slytherin and Gryffindor houses are mortal enemies, aren't they?"

"Al..." Scorpius whispered. "You know it's not true. Not any longer."

"I do know." Albus carefully straightened Scorpius' red-and-gold tie. He brushed his lips softly against Scorpius', and smiled. "I am heading to the shower now. Wanna join me?"
