Comic writer is sick
To my mutual friends: I am really sorry for being such a spammer today, but this is a really important note.
In the last few days I've come to hear of very sad news.
Steve Perry - one of the writers for Thundercats and Silverhawks - is sick and in need of help. He has bladder cancer, he has a small son and he is homeless. Quoted from Christian A. Young's blog:
Today I found out that one of the writing team for Thundercats, Steve Perry, has been both terribly sick and in serious need for a while. Hero Initiative has given him some assistance, but according to Steve Bissette, he is still very much in a bad way, and it sounds like his trip to MegaCon that he hoped might help has in fact done the opposite.
If you’re so moved, and have a few dollars to spare, you can send Perry a bit of scratch via his PayPal account (sandramaples48 @ yahoo.com).
Personally, I didn't grow up on Thundercats or Silverhawk, but no one should go through all of it. So, if you can spare some amount to Mr. Perry, it will be much helpful.
