Jeff and I have set a goal for ourselves to get more exercise and we are going to see if we can follow this regimen for one month without slacking:
-Yoga on Tuesday, Thursday & either Sat or Sun.
-Cardio the other days of the week (Jeff is swimming and I'm going to try to run)
Probably the most difficult part is that we decided we're going to wake up at 6am to do the cardio, but on the yoga days we're still going to wake up early and try to go for a walk or something (or just drink tea and read) so that we can get into the habit.
Today was the first day and it was good. I walked with Jeff to the pool (about 1/2 mile) and then ran a mile, walked a 1/2 mile, ran another 1/2 mile, and then we walked back to my house. Despite the burning lungs and the fact that my ears got cold and hurty, it felt good and I was pretty amazed that I could actually run that much after not running at all for....I don't know, like 9 years?
So I'm just putting this out there so that we stick to it! Our reward if we complete the full month is going to be to go stay
here one weekend. Punishment will be to have to cancel our reservation. :(
I am stoked that he is willing to do this sort of thing with me.
