I just saw this movie called The Professional. It was really good. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Jason and I were flipping though what movies were On Demand. He was like, oh this director does a lot of great action movies, also he is French. And I was like, OH HEY GARY OLDMAN. ISN'T HE SIRIUS BLACK??? SIGN ME UP. The plot summery was intriguing. It was like, a 12 year old girl is orphaned, taken under the wing of a hitman, and is taught the trade. etc. Right, so it starts off pretty bloody, and then enters 11 year old Natalie Portman, fresh off her days hangin' at the JDS school yard. Well, I mean, not really. So basically, the plot revolves around the relationship between this hitman played by Jean Reno and Natalie. Turns out he is a hitman with a heart of gold, I know, surprising. I'm sure you guys are like, WELL TELL US ALL ABOUT SIRIUS BLACK. Okay, get this he plays a drug-addled two-faced cop...with an American accent. AMAZING. If you think Sirius was kind of rough around the edges after 13 some-odd years in Azkaban, check this mofo out. CRAZY. Anyways, the point is, is that the plot could have been really cliche, but it wasn't. The directing was really sharp and well thought out. Which, you know, was surprising because I had it pegged as another stupid action movie. Apparently this Luc Besson guy knows what he is doing (jk, I know he is famous, don't yell at me). Right, so it was very satisfying and a little weird. Basically the two things I look for in a movie. Also, in the beginning of the movie some guy was like, "This is serious...this guy is serious!" And they kept on saying it, and I was like, YEAH I KNOW. Well, turns out they were referring to the other guy. But not the point. It was still very funny. for me. Also because I am in the middle of OotP. Any who, I just love seeing actors who I know for specific roles doing other stuff. Esp like when I saw Alan Rickman doing this interview and he was laughing it up and smiling and I was like, SNAPE. WHAT ARE YOU DOING>???? Turns out, it wasn't actually Severus Snape. IRL (in real life). SHOCKING I KNOW.
Why does everything I do suddenly take a turn for the Harry Potter? I need to cut myself off. But I can't. agh.
Also, sorry if none of this made sense, it's like 2 in the AM.
