The best way to keep trucking thru late-night paper writing surely must be the vain thought of presenting a stellar paper with a truly new idea or combination of ideas. Granted, it's a research paper and I'm basically saying nothing new (or am I??), but I certainly get these little motivating visions of excellence.

I like this idea of writing something totally new. Good prep for the thesis, mate.
