I haven't written in so long. And my recent posts have all been depressing and angsty. The Feelings from last night totally dissipated all those weeks of angst.

Big Bang Concert 20120929

CONCERT ROCKS. Enough said. There. Whenever people say "the feeling is indescribable", naaah, BB Alive Concert can be desribed simply in just two words: It rocks. I might be addicted to concerts. I just enjoy them so much. If you tell me to lift a dumbbell for a workout for even 5 mins, I'll probably roll my eyes at you, but it's amazing how I can wave and jump, and scream for two hours straight, without feeling tired <---Lies.

Okay, I enjoyed the adrenaline rush. Your heart would beat so loud in your chest, that you can't really differentiate if the sound you're hearing in your ears comes from the amp or from your beating heart. You know in dramas, when people get upset, they find a beach, and scream their lungs out at the sea? So drama. (Keke) Attending a concert have that same therapeutic effect too! The energy from the concert was so awesome. Very high experience. BB were running around the stage, and us at the mosh pit were also running around below the stage. It was really fun.

Long enough introduction. I wanna do a review. Friend just asked me if this is the best concert I've attended so far. Yes it is! BB alone beats the Mnet Ultimate Live 2010 that had so many different groups. Because back then the tickets were standing ones too. Last night's BB's was standing ones too. Thumbs up. Standing ones are really better. You get to jump and run around. Albeit you would miss the dance formation from the top view. But that also depends on what group you are seeing.

1. They had a live band. Upstairs. At the second level on the stage. Complete with background vocalists. BB did the everybody-hold-hands-and-bow thing with their dancers, then then proceed to individually thank them and individually thank the live band. That reminded me of an Ayu concert. (oh the guitarist had a solo rift in the middle, like while BB was changing backstage or something)

2. Fanservice. Abs Taeyang. No HQ pics of abs because iphone decided to overexpose the photos (I'm not even sure if 'overexpose' can be used as a verb or not, lol) when Abs Taeyang is like 4 metres right in front of me. But that's okay.

3. Daesung takes flight. Daesung did his solo song Wings. And when he 升 FROM the second level of the stage, I was wondering if he's going to fly, but I could see clearly there were no wires connected to him, so he's probably not flying. Then he 降 to the first level of the stage and I'm like, okay no flying in Singapore I guess. Then halfway thru his song, my friend excitedly nudged me because there was this erm, I don't know how to say it, thing?, pole-like thing for you to grab, descending from the ceiling onto the middle of the stage, then while the thing descends, we noticed Daesung getting fitted into his wings! He grabbed the thing that descended from the ceiling and literally just took flight towards the crowd. So cool to see it live. I took a video of his flight. And that's (below) a screenshot from my video. Very nice.

4. TOP. So he was injured. And had this huge bandage around his right hand that made him unable to wear his jackets properly. He had one side of his jacket just over his shoulder, not worn into the arm.

And because of the performing, the jacket usually starts slipping off his shoulder in the middle of the song, and he can't put it back, because he had his other hand on the mic. So he's got to leave it hanging around his back.....aigooo poor thing.

But he managed to make the half-slipped-off-look look hot. LOL.

And there was one point in time where he wanted to drink water, and he had to hold the bottle under the elbow of his injured hand, and use his other hand to twist the cap open, it took him awhile. Aigooooo. That sent another round of AWWWWW from me. Oops.

There was also a point where he stood very still, for like 5mins, because he saw the crowd of cameras towards his direction, he smiled a little, and AWWWW again.

5. Tug of war. First hand account.
Saner version.... Well, TOP came over to our side of the stage and it just so happened that he threw his towel right as me/us. I reached out and it managed to fall right into my hands. Hahahaha. My friend who was beside me had her hands on it too. As did 9382638 other fangirls. Then everyone began tugging. Another friend came over to help us tug too. And man, was she strong? I gave up halfway because I thought I wasn't going to make it. I looked up and saw that Taeyang had acty came over to this side of the stage and was dancing away while the tug-of-war unfold right beneath his eyes. Keke. I think he ignored us. I saw both my friends still tugging on the towel, and thought maybe we have a chance, so I went back to help. And then after a long struggle, omg we won. Credits to the both of them really. ♥

The moral of the story learnt from this game is that, "once you've got your hands on something, no matter how slim the chance, don't ever let go".

Thoroughly enjoyed myself this year. Went to a Shinhwa concert in June, and attended BB concert in Sept. And most likely getting tickets for a 2NE1 concert in Dec (?). Hmmm...

concerts, the fangirl in me ♥
