Wow. It is high time for me to update. (Vroom.)
I'm currently at work, with a mess of stuff around me I could stand to do. But, eh. Forget it. It's been longer since I've updated LJ than since I've skipped out of some work.
Let's see. What's new? Nothing much, that's what's so sad! I'm still working at Aurora Health Care, still loving it... though I've been frustrated by a lot of things lately. This is the 2nd longest I've ever been at one job (at a massive 9 months!), and I think I'm just getting restless.
My birthday weekend was this past weekend. Thursday, a bunch of us went to Mo's Irish Pub to see Ryan. It was great to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a long time, namely Lydia and Karen from Borders, as well as some people I wasn't expecting to be there. I got a birthday phone call from Keith, who was playing at Rooter's. He had the entire bar yell Happy Birthday to me... he's a doll.
Friday, Kelly's cousin had a house warming-ish type get together. There was pizza, Bud Light, margaritas, Riff, 80's Name That Tune, LOTS of whiskey (not for me, though!), some passing out, writing on foreheads with eyeliner, pictures, etc.
Saturday, I was a bear. I had this whole evening planned - first, a VIP party at a club downtown, then heading over to Mo's Irish Pub to see ManDown plan. Yeah, not so much. I was in the worst mood, gave myself a migraine, and spent most of the evening pouting and playing Riff with Kelly and my mom. But, around 10pm, I was like, "Come on. This is the NIGHT before your birthday!". So, Kelly, Katie, Peter, and I all went to Mo's for a few. Katie and Peter left pretty early, but Kel and I stayed until close with Mike and Kevin.
All in all, the weekend was great, though maybe not exactly what I was expecting.
Tonight is the premiere of The Office! * squee * I. Am. Dying. I just cannot wait. I think the last time I was this excited for a series premiere was SeaQuest, when it was possible that Brody was dead! He died later that season, anyway, but I digress. Also premiering tonight: CSI and Gray's Anatomy. And next Thursday, Supernatural! I watch exactly 4 shows religiously and they're all on the same night this season. Wonderful.
I have had a serious love of skulls lately. Is that weird? I just bought a purse with a lace skull on it. It's kinda hot, really.
I had major pet drama yesterday. I woke up to Macy's (my dog) eye bleeding. My cat, GiGi, has been INSANE the last couple of days. She's just been NASTY and MEAN. She even scratched ME up, which she has NEVER done before, at least not intentionally. So, anyway, I took Macy in and, thank GOD, she's okay. She's got to have eye drops 3x a day for a week, but it'll heal on its own. GiGi is quarantined to my bedroom until Monday, when she's getting spayed and a 4-paw de-claw. Ohhh, she's going to be so cuddly with no claws! Cordelia, my other cat, will be spayed and de-clawed by this time next month. Which will be wonderful.
Honestly, there's not a whole lot else going on with me. I just don't get on the computer much at night. I'm on it all day long at work, so it's just not something I've felt like doing once I get home.
I am obscenely bored. We have a "meeting" with some VIP doctors this afternoon, so I'm all dolled up in my pin-stripe gauchos and new, very cute, sexy wedges from Target.
I think I've taken up enough of your time with random drabble... so... hi! How are you all?! I hope this finds you all wonderful!
