i got a call from capital one today about some strange charges on my cc. i've been a victim of cc theft! i don't know how the person got my card cuz i'm sitting here staring at it. i wonder if it's from online or irl and what other info they must have on me. so creepy!
i keep telling myself it could've been a lot worse. the person spent a couple of hundred bucks at walmart in pacoima, office depot in northridge, and baja fresh lol. i don't even live/shop near those cities. this all happened within the last 48 hours cuz i check my online statements religiously and these charges haven't even posted yet. either way, i am not paying for them.
my account number is closed (*sigh* i've had it for like 6 years) and card is now cancelled. i'm getting a new one in the mail soon and have to register my account online again. i guess i should get my credit report too while i'm at it.
