I don't really know what I'm doing with my life or anything like that, I'm whereas that used to be scary, it's just annoying now. In eight months, everything will be clear. The next few years of my life will be more or less decided. But right now, I'm just kind of... hanging out. Trying to convince people who don't care that I am an amazing person... in 150 words or less. But, you know, whatever.
Savor this attitude. It's not normal. That's why our college counselor finds me in the hallway to comfort me and actually counsel... And that's unheard of. Anyway, I probably won't be so relaxed for a while. Recently, I've learned this new technique that works for me. Taking things as they come. Two weeks ago I opened the common app and looked through the entire thing. It's still not done. It scares me. Yesterday I started my columbia app and it's almost done, but I don't know what the next question is.
Do you see all the paralells in my life? How everything reminds you of the thing before it? And it's all one big whole, with parts the click together?
I don't know. I had a ream last night that I took ecstasy, and that was bizarre for me, to say the least. BUT last night was amazing. Luke and Kirsten. No reprimanding when I said "I feel like having a cigar" and no out of context quotings of Bible verses. Whatever, man, whatever. I wish everyone and everything would just relax.
Senior year is the epitome of self-centered-ness. It's all about taking pictures of yourself.
"She's a beautiful mental jukebox, a sailboat explosion, a snap of electric whipcrack. She's not thinking of the future, she's not spinning her wheels, she doesn't think at all about the past. She's thinking long and hard 'bout that wild sound and wondering, 'will it last?'"
