I'm not awesome at keeping my ipod up to date with new episodes of podcasts I am subscribed to so I tend to go from feast to famine. At the moment though I have a bit of a feast and I seemed to be in the car a bit the last couple of days so I've been catching up with all my favourite hosts ( Read more... )

And Zoe and Kaylee from Firefly /swoon

also Abigail Bartlett from West Wing...

I'm with you though on not wanting to go write a list. Partly cos I know I'd forget people.

Plus? Lynda FTW. I wanted to be her when I was a kid. And possibly when I was a teenager. And, you know, more recently...

Totally!! I loved that when he showed up again at the TV set when she was doing that show, hmm ... fuzzy memories might need to rewatch the show.

It was totally vague! Left unclear whether they managed to get together or not!

aaand... I think Press Gang is one of those shows I could never re-watch, for fear that it would not be as good. There are some scenes that I can describe expression and action, and I don't want to find out that it wasn't as good as I thought!

I'm actually finding that nyself as I rewatch Dawsons Creek and Roswell, which to be fair are YA shows and I am no longer YA.

Sad, isn't it? There are some books I will not re-read for the same reason.

Press Gang is, for me, as good a show as an adult as it was when I was a teenager. The only different is that I have a different perspective on the characters. I see Lynda differently in particular: I had an enormous crush on her when I was young, but watching her now all I see is someone very selfish, domineering and emotionally abusive - but still exceptionally well written and acted.

Yeah that's where I am watching love stories I used to love years ago, I see the power dynamics so differently now.
