ice cream & the death summit
to be more specific about what I was referencing in my last post, I went to Safeway in search of a specific flavor from Ben & Jerry's. However, that Safeway sucks more than most and has a poor product selection, so I came home with Cheesecake Brownie instead of Chocolate Macadamia. The Cheesecake Brownie is actually really good too, it's just not what I wanted atm. Today I came across the Macadamia one at a grocery store I don't usually go to, and for a much better price. At least I know where to look from now on!
Next weekend, my dad's sister from New York will be visiting the family. Later that week, it's my uncle's birthday and also my grandfather's 97th birthday, so needless to say, my presence is required at least over the weekend. In honor of the visit and the almost-100th birthday, my grandparents have decided they will be holding a death summit (way to celebrate, I know). Anyway, that part doesn't really include me so much, but they've been making a big deal out of it. I guess they're going to talk about their death plans and their money, etc. All kinds of family drama has been going on surrounding that, so hopefully it will be addressed. It's all kind of left me with a morbid sad feeling. They are visibly older every time I've seen them recently.
So, I'll be in SR next weekend.
