roll down your window
at midnight last night g and i were eating burritos from bueno and he and i decided we should go somewhere away from campus so we drove for a few hours out to the tip of cape cod and spent the night there, then explored the beach at sunrise and got breakfast and saw a little seal in the surf.
this summer i drove twenty-one thousand miles around the country and now i'm been back at college for a while. some things are different and some are the same, and some people are still who they are, but everything is good :) i'm working a lot, i'm drinking a lot, and i'm painting a lot. tomorrow ohio is flying from georgia to amherst, and he'll be here for six days, and in november i'm taking a train from amherst to ohio to spend thanksgiving with his family since i can't afford to fly home and spend it with mine. next to my laptop is a deep red vase full of pink and orange tiger lillies he sent me last week, with a note that says "just because."
