Ha! Today is the first official day of my vacation!!
1.) I slept in late (7AM). Okay, that's probably crazy for most of you but I start work at 7AM so to me, it is sleeping in.
2.) Walked on the treadmill, ate breakfast and read while waiting for the cable guy to show up. Very relaxing.
3.) Cable guy came to activate the line in my creative room but had trouble finding where the cable was being run. I had to climb up in the attic and crawl around to investigate. Why me? Well, the entry is high up, you can't use a ladder, you have to climb up on the desk, haul yourself up the access panel blah blah blah. Suffice it to say I am smaller than he was and more agile.
4.) I now have internet in my creative room! Yippeeee! I can write and journal and and create all in one place!
5.) A new office chair is in order. I am using a folding chair and I feel like I need to sit on top of a phone book to reach the keyboard.
6.) Today is the start of my vacation! We're out of town for a long weekend up north, starting tomorrow. Yeah!! We plan on doing the local winery tours and enjoying some badly needed downtime.
7.) Emma seems to be doing better, all her tests came back normal and she is frisky. I've put all the cats on wet cat food (much to their delight) so we'll see how things develop.
8.) Softball tonight. It is 95 and hot as hell outside. It is going to be a loooong game.
