Speaking of regrown bodies, whatever happened to Zulenna? I thought Klaus was having her resurrected, and ignoring the protests of the fifty families or something.

Reportedly the Professors have said that Zulenna will be back. I'm a bit surprised we haven't already seen her, since it's been about six months since she was stabbed. Her injuries were nowhere near as severe as Madame Olga's!

And I hope Lars will be back, too, but no word about him.

I'm betting that Zulenna hasn't even been told she's been revivified ----- they probably told her 'Oh no, you were still barely breathing when we got there ....'

Given what Gil told us during the smurfette story, I supect that Klaus intends to use the secret of her revivication as a way of controlling Zulenna.

I'm looking forward to a rematch between Zulenna and Dupree, with Zulenna running contruct abilities, and improved skills due to her fatal object lesson....

The Dingbot war indicated that Agatha can create the Spark in machines, which could be important. Didn't go on for that long, either. And it was funny.

I think Novel 2 says Van Rijn avoided having any paintings or statues made of him, and little is known. Sounds like a reclusive time traveler to me...

The Lackya showed that Klaus has a habit of taking in 'orphaned' constructs. Like the Jaegers.

He's Rembrandt. Rembrandt van Rijn. It's what TV Tropes calls "Beethoven Was an Alien Spy." In this universe instead of becoming a famous painter he apparently invented supersophisticated Muse clanks.

Not that that answers what's in his notes.

That was the obvious conclusion just from the name, but it doesn't explain his specifically avoiding representations.

IRL Rembrandt is known for having a lot of self-portraits (and possibly a lot of portraits by other people that got credited as self-portraits, I don't recall the details). It may simply be a joke on that.

I always thought the last four words of this page were ominous: http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20090311

Indeed! But I'd class that as possible foreshadowing.

And I hope it doesn't happen.

I unfortunately do not have the gift of reading sottle nuance. At All. The Gun has to be thrown at me, like my mom & her high heeled shoes for me to catch it.

And I also hope that she is not Du Medd,

What about the sandwich maker and his daughter? Do you think they'll be back? In the last panel of "Maxim Buys a Hat", Maxim is carrying a note saying "Call me - Z" (presumably for Zeuxippe).

Heh! That note probably is a Chekhov's Gun ... but I don't think the Professors are going to show us that part of the story on stage!

I hope we'll revisit Old Man Death's deli, but I don't think the restaurant will be important to the story. But I could be wrong. Do you want me to add it to the list? (Note: I'm excluding people from being Chekhov's guns, so even if Old Man Death and Zeuxippe turn up again I don't think they'd count.)

Not to mention what happened to Barry (he didn't "die" but he went away. Why? Where?) and what's going to become of Adam and Lilith ( ... )

You make a salient point, and it brings up another unsolved mystery: What exactly did Agatha's locket do to Moloch's brother and why didn't it effect him?

Rarg. Went off on the wrong tangent. Do-0ver.

As to why it didn't affect him, first, he wasn't actually wearing it, and second, it was probably set to Agatha's particular brainwave pattern.
