The downside of working in a travel store

Nov 02, 2009 22:56

Is that everyone comes in to buy stuff for the awesome trips they are planning on going on.

Saturday everyone was going to Cuba. Today, Australia. I came home and started looking up flights. Then went to rovers and hung drywall. Then read about camper vans. Anyone want to go on a roadtrip somewhere sometime? Go somewhere sometime? At least a quarter of this restless feeling is just wanting to get away from the stressball that is school. Ngl.

This icon is made from a picture of the Eiffel Tower that I took in 2005. It seems like forever ago.

I had a lady today come in looking for a cart to stick her bag on cause it didn't have wheels. But she didn't buy it cause she was waiting for her doctor to let her know it was okay to fly. She used to go to Hawaii twice a year with her husband, but he died earlier this year. He was 95, so it was kind of okay, but she figures that it's been two years since they went to Hawaii and she was going to go this year. My eyes were tearing up you guys. This lady was adorable. I hope I am nearly as spunky when I reach her age.

Also, I sold a suitcase. $255 worth of suitcase. Oh yeah.

work, adventure
